Speaking of Sony... aren't their own internal Q & A teams supposed to exist to detect these problems?

Bethesda probably made them play the Xbox version, while promising the games were exactly the same.

A long time friend actually works as a QA guy for Sony, but I think Sony's QA guys just work on PS Home and games published by Sony. At least he does.

If that's a joke as I think it is...... sounds like Bethesda.

If you're serious... no. Sony has the right to say what goes on their platform and if they want to see the PS3 version of a game, they're going to see the PS3 version of a game. Why would they test the 360 version of a game?

I'm halfway serious.

Here's why:

Does anyone follow the Qore series on PSN? The Qore team didn't even get to show off a PS3 specific version of the game, and Qore is a PS3 exclusive video series. In the Qore feature on Skyrim we see the same footage we saw ad nauseam during all the summer gaming conventions, same information from those conventions as well. Kind of ridiculous to not let the Qore team get to play the game so they can show off the PS3 version on a Playstation network exclusive show.

This is Bethesda, Pete was probably there saying that they play the same and that he saw Todd playing it, and then he proceeded to ignore any questions.

That's true, but it could just be perhaps of marketing restriction laws. There's no way a PS3 game can be published without Sony's approval and denying Sony access to their version isn't a good way to get Sony's approval.
