Everyone's Shiny New Toys

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 1:42 pm

I got Uncharted 3, Assassin's Creed: Revelations, and Final Fantasy IX, as far as video games go (been playing Uncharted; I like it, but think I might sample all three today).

In addition, and a bit earlier than today, I got a copy of Voltaire's Candide and Machiavelli's The Prince (I'll read them when my PlayStation is taking a break). Plus, I got a $25 gift card for Gamestop and an electric razor (never shaved before, though, so not sure how to use it ).

Well, what have you got?

I got money, most of which has already disappeared to fund the monitors I already bought.

Merry Christmas.

Money, which will be going towards a 7970 in 2 weeks.

http://www.amazon.com/Keurig-B60-Special-Single-Cup-Home-Brewing/dp/B000AQSMPO

Lots of clothes, including a hoodie that has a Black Hand symbol and says, "Sanguine my brother."

A red vs blue poster

And some other random small things.

I ended up buying BF3 for myself last night as well.

Trine, Amnesia, and AvP

My wife made me a little statuette which is quite cute, and my son commissioned one as well. Unfortunately we had a nasty stomach bug earlier in the week and couldn't go up to Christmas with my in-laws, although in a few days we'll be visiting my folks. We're giving ourselves a copy of Small Worlds (a very cool board game) when we get up there.

A decent cordless drill, and a stocking full of soap, deoderant, shampoo, cans of food, toothpaste etc. To be honest I look forward to my stocking the most, means I don't have to buy all that kind of stuff for a while.

Money, books and clothes.

There isn't much to tell really, except that I got a really nice illustrated version of The Art of War. It's probably more valuable than all of my other gifts combined

EDIT:  you silly americans, opening your gifts on the 25th

We don't celebrate till January 7th (mom's orthodox, they go by a different calendar), but I'm almost postive I'm getting socks, or something similar. As a present to myself, I got psychonauts on Steam and am finally getting around to upgrading to w7.

I'm currently posting on this thread with my new laptop, quite a surprise for me, but I'll be needing it for college. Also got two hoodies, an Ohio State basketball shirt, and Toy Story 2 (had 1 and 3, needed 2 to complete the set).
