Expansion over DLC

I'd rather have a bigger DLC than more smaller one's.

Most people that say things like this usually buy the game at release anyway.

But hey, if you pull it off, way to stick it to the man.

The game is already ordered. :)

And you could get the bigger 'DLC' of Morrowind and Oblivion on CD/DVD here. In my country the distrust to downloadable stuff is quite high, and most people want to hold something in their hands... Thats one of the few things i agree with the masses here.

DLC = Down-Loadable Content.

Who is to say that an expansion can't be DLC?

Well, expansions are usually separate discs on PC, or are already on the main disc (GotY version).

Oh the days of getting full expansion packs instead of little DLCs...

Expansions all the way, Things like tribunal and blood moon would be great i NEVER buy all these svcky small DLC developers seem to release unless i buy GOTY edition of the game that has all DLCs in it.

Fingers crossed they make biggish exciting DLC/Expansions

If it is small dlc they need to price it alot better than last time. I'm hoping for a nice large expansion which includes things they could release for dlc.

I like both as long as the price matches. I think paying $5 for a 3-4 hours of new content is totally worth it. Plus, stuff like the wizard's tower in oblivion became core to my experience so ended up being well worth it. Of course, Shivering Isles is by far the best part of the entire Oblivion package, so it'd be a shame if they don't do a big one like that again.

Pretty sure Bethesda has stated many times over that they plan to do Point Lookout (Fallout 3) and Bloodmoon (Morrowind) sized DLCs, so I don't see why people are concerned.

I prefer expansions over pointless small DLC, Morrowind had some amazing expansions and Shivering Isles for Oblivion was better than the normal game.
But i believe Bethesda said they will rather release bigger DLC like in Fallout 3, i think i read that somewhere.

I agree. Unfortunately DLC murdered the expansion pack, and got away with it :stare:

Still, Fallout 3 and New Vegas DLCs are an acceptable middle ground :)

I'd be content with a handful of good, strong expansions (mini-expansions?).

Me personally I prefer expansion packs but I say this as a PS3 user who didn't get any DLCs.

Of course expansion packs are better than silly little packs of DLC.

I wish Skyrim will have to proper expansion like Morrowind. Knights of the Nine was hardly worth getting for Oblivion. I wonder if Bethesda will ask Obsidian Entertainment to work on a spin-off like they did for Fallout.
