Extra-terrestial Aliens? : Othor Games

Personally I do. The universe is so mind-bogglingly huge that the chances that this is the only planet on which life formed is...well...must be small right? The planet doesn't even need to be like earth, it doesn't need to have water, or anything like that. Those are the conditions we have evolved to, other oragnisms may have done something completly different. Maybe Jupiter his home to a race of sentient clouds?

Anyways, what are your beliefs on the matter?

CLAIRIFICATION: I really doubt they are comming to earth to abduct or experiment on us. Maybe screw with our puny minds....

I believe there are other lifeforms out there in the universe somewhere, but I do not believe they have visited Earth.

There's also a theory that every time a new President is elected, they meet with the head of the alien race as sort of a gathering to make sure everyone is on the same page.

It's an interesting theory. Although I consider a lot of the Ancient Aliens theories to be pseudo-science and far fetched, I can't help but like it. I've thought about it many times myself, but as of yet I choose not to believe anything. I'd love to find evidence that would prove this theory; it would make the human race a whole lot more interesting.

It's an interesting theory. Although I consider a lot of the Ancient Aliens theories to be pseudo-science and far fetched, I can't help but like the theory. I've thought about it many times myself, but as of yet I choose not to believe anything.

The only credence I give it is that there is (super small) evidence of structures on the moon. And the rapid jump in human brain size over a very short time frame.
Oh, and Apollo apearing in multiple cultures. But other than that, ya, its really far fetched...

Shouldn't the believe in ghosts thing be merged with aliens since they are in the field of paranormal stuff?

Anyways, I have to agree with what others say where we as a species are incredibly stupid and niave to think that our kind is the only form of life in the universe, known or otherwise.

As for the theory that aliens came and made us (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Panspermia), I have no clue. Anything is possible until it is disproved through scientific theory.

Yes, and I'm sure if they are intelligent enough for space travel, they would never contact us. Just imagine the crap we've sent up into space via radio waves and debris.... we're like the obnoxious white trash neighbors no one wants.

I believe that life exsists outside of Earth..

I don't think forming single-celled organisms is all that hard.. Just requires a few conditions which many different planets would have.. Chances of life exsisting on a planet like Mars is high because it is relatively similar to Earth.. Well not in its present condition but it was..

Thankfully the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inverse-square_law makes all our radio and television broadcasts completely unrecognizable from background noise after a mere 10-15 light years. Only the signals we purposefully beam out there have a chance of being recognizable, and those all are mandated to include clips of hynotoad telling all listeners that earthlings are cool.

I find it plays into the "America controls the world" thing too much. If aniens did make contact, I doubt any goverment would be able to hid it. And I have a feeling they would contact like europe or some place with a heigher population density
