Eye Candy and Aesthetics

I still think this was a bad idea for an RPG. The more advanced and modern the games get, the more options we want and expect, not the reverse.

TES6: One piece body suits! All your gear in a single mesh!

I really hope this can be changed back thru modding. I loved being able to mix and match to customize my gear.

*tosses Daggerfallftw a piece of salt pork*
Fallout 3 and New Vegas actually had the potential for MORE customization option then even Morrowind. Its just that the fallout was of doing armor was simply body and helmet.

I wouldn't be surprised if bethesda has a similar number of potential slots open to modders.

Glad to see I'm not alone in tastes, at least to an extent. And thanks for the salt pork lol.
All I have to do now is play Daggerfall to get some twigs and... well... I can't say where I'm getting the panties from.

No but yeah, being a diehard Daggerfall fan, and loving Skyrim as much as I do (I hate Oblivion, barely like Morrowind), it breaks my briarheart to look at how far backwards they've gone in the pen and paper sense. With every step forward they take at least 14 steps back it seems.

It's funny you mention that, because it makes me think of something I hadn't really thought of before. A lot of folks don't like PnP games; they want the game to handle all the details for them so they can just get in there and bash. The folks that do like PnP games are *all* about the details. It feels like the games are shifting more from the PnP-style of gaming crowd to the "don't care, just wanna bash" crowd. If you think about a lot of the forum clashes, it seems like you can distill the philosophy of the arguments from both sides down to these two crowds.

P.S. - I'll add that I'm not dissing on either side, to each his own. I play both ways, depending on the game. But I'm definitely PnP style when it comes to the TES games, and feel like every game since Daggerfall we've slowly been losing bits of that style here and there. Hopefully, the modding community will be able to restore the balance to the right side. Er, I mean the light side. Our side that is! Not that the bashers are the dark side. Well, maybe they are. But the dark side is pretty cool, too!

ThePal has released a nvde female mod on http://tesvskyrim.com/. Because of the rules Milt mentioned, I won't provide a direct link to the mod, but it's easy to find. Here's his description of the mod:

nvde Females removes the underwear from female characters in the game, and updates the textures based on what one would expect to see underneath.

The textures are all high-res and seamless in the current version.

I'm also and advlt gamer and I have no issues with mods like this. If I don't want painted on underwear, I shouldn't have to put up with it.

For me, it's that, all the awesome gear is made for advlt body mods.

Well I am an advlt as well, at 21, and I, being part of the generations everyone seems to be worried about six and nudity and whatnot, I cant for the life of me understand why people want such things in a game.

DAO is still popular simply because DA2 failed at being a proper sequal to the awesome game mechanics that DAO had. Overall DA2 failed at being a "2".

As for DA2 it was like playing a Final Fantasy arcade game at the fun center, at the Lloyd Center mall. I sadly purchased it, installed it, played one game and threw the PC disc in the trash and then uninstalled it. As for DAO I love every aspect of it --to include the six and the nudity; and, I still play it today; along with FO3 and FNV. All three of those games are rated "G" for Grandpa on my system.
