Favorite Character from Honest Hearts?

Post » Fri Dec 10, 2010 10:25 pm

I dont know about you guys but Joshua Graham had to be the most interesting and best character in the whole DLC. He was very well done.

He has wisdom,Heart, and can dish out some punishment.

Overall he was awesome and his quotes were really good.

Now the question is which one is your favorite?

You can provide why if you want.

Like I've said before, Joshua Graham was the most noble and likeable character I've ever met in the wasteland.

I dont. He seemed more interesting when he was still a psychopath.

My favourite is Ricky. I laughed out loud at some of the things he said.

I am a big fan Graham's as well, especially how he turns out if you pass the speech check at the end of the DLC. However I voted for Clark because after exploring all of the caves to find his journal entries I loved his story. In my opinion this was one of the best stories in all of New Vegas, DLCs included.

You seemed quite devoted to kill the Burned Man, what exactly did he say that won you over?

Graham was still a bit of a psychopath. Ethnic cleansings are typically not the recourse of sane men.

Ricky was pretty awesome, though, too. Anybody else felt he was meant to be a playful poke at the player/Courier? He had all the trappings of a Fallout main character, minus all the main character powers. "There but for the grace of God go we," and all that.

My favorite was definitely Randall, though. Probably the best story told through terminals in the entire Fallout franchise.

I'm going to have to say Joshua as well. He's just interesting, and well VO'd, imo. Altho, when I first met him, I felt he didn't need my help at all - I mean, what with all the guns he was cleaning while I had my first conversation with him, he could be his own 1-man army. HarHar.

I liked Follows-Chalk quite a bit, even with his repetitive comment lines, but mostly for the could-have beens. Like, I wish I could go back to the Mojave and encounter him there. I don't personally care so much about him being a companion in the main game, but just to, say, run into him in a Casino or something, have a few "Hey, how are ya" lines would be so cool.

Joshua Graham hands down, even though he wasn't exactly what I expected he was still an amazing character. The Dead Horses were also my favorite faction. Follows-Chalk was also extremely well done and is definitely one of my favorite characters in the Fallout Universe.

Joshua Graham. :D Though I loved Follows-Chalk as well. Graham was just very well designed and done. I don't have any complaints about him. Follows-Chalk, personified my visions of a Zion Tribal to a T. I loved some of his comments, expecially the one about me carrying around bottlecaps.

The Survivalist. Favorite faction is for sure The Sorrows. Of the two DLCs for F:NV, this is the better one. :celebration:

The Survivalist is the most interesting character as presented in Honest Hearts. Graham is a cool character, no doubt about that, but he doesn't really have much involvement in the actual DLC aside from simply being there as the war chief at this current time. The most interesting parts of his backstory and his involvement with the world occurs long before HH ever starts. The Survivalist on the other hand is the very backbone of the entire history and culture of the modern Zion Valley civilization.

As for the most interesting faction, I went with the Happy Trails Caravan Company. They had a pretty minor part in the DLC, but even with that small amount of influence they made a strong impact on me. Dealing with the various characters in the caravan team before starting the journey was definitely interesting, and having to watch them all die was a pretty interesting way to start the DLC, especially if you bonded well with them just moments before. What surprised me the most was how they were an acknowledged faction in the ending slides, and even though that one caravan was wiped out (aside from the player) in the main story, the actions of the player in the DLC has direct consequences for the faction as a whole all the way back in New Reno.

I would say Graham because he was just an awesome person, there should be an option to give him a hug, I just wish he was a companion, me and him would make a visit to the Fort. :flamethrower:

Graham is brilliant. I'm not big on his excessive preaching and I know some people expected him to be more psychopathic as in Van Buren but I think he's amazing. He's bad-ass but at the same time has morals and genuine human feelings. He's been through some horrible stuff but if you pick "his" ending he seems to find some peace.

My favorite factions is The Sorrows. The whiners on here complain their "emo" but that's entirely misguided. They're a bit emotional but then again their not warriors.
I just like their outfits, they've got cool lines(tattoos I like to think), their camp is cool, the quest with the Yao Guai is cool.
Spoiler
It's very interesting when you pick Graham's ending how you turn them from being peaceful into being able to defend themselves. You end up ever so slightly changing their destiny - which also influences the Dead Horses' destiny.

Randall Clark.
His diary entries influenced my final decision more than anything said by Daniel or Joshua --
Zion is the Sorrow's home and they will stay there.

I deeply regret that Joshua (or any other starring NPC) are unavailable after the DLCs end, but I'm sure there are logical, compelling reasons why this is so. I've noticed that there seems to be problem with vendors off the main map of a Bethesda game (except Point Lookout); but I would love to be able to continue trading with Joshua and roaming around with Follows Chalk.
