Arj Barker, Kenny Everitt, Graham Kennedy sort of counts I suppose.

I remember watching Kenny Everett's programmes when I was a kid, probably my favourite comedian back then. Says a lot about the chap that he was so unpredictable that even Billy Connolly was quite nervous of him!

I like Generation, but there is a lot less cerebral humour than there was on his own show.

Cool, Micallef is a Maltese surname. He's Australian, so I assume his parents or grandparents were Maltese who went to Australia during the war.

I also have to go with Jeff Dunham...no other comedian has made me laugh so hard.

Anyone remember Richard Pryor? He used to crack me up too. I always loved comedians who could laugh at their own personal tragedies and make them funny.

George Carlin.

rip

..also some of the older ones (I remember Richard Prior Denia. Mudbone!!!) as well as Lenny Bruce, might seem tame by todays standards, but they were the first ones to have the raw cojones to go up there, do what they did and then get arrested for it. They really have my respect.

I don't really find american comedians funny. It's just not my type of humour.

What about Reginald D Hunter? He's the most British Yank I've evere seen! :D

Can't think of many comedians really but as for actors I enjoy in their comedic rolls...

John Paul Tremblay (Julian in Trailer Park Boys)
Rob McElhenney (Mac in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia)
John Cleese (How can I name just one?)
Norm MacDonald (Norm I actually do like for his stand-up more than anything else)

I don't watch a lot of T.V. so nothing else is really coming to mind right now.

I'd say in general that it isn't hard to make me laugh, but some of the stand-up people who make me laugh the hardest are:

Richard Pryor
George Carlin
Bill Cosby
Alonzo Bodden
Paula Poundstone
Dave Chappel
Chris Rock
Daniel Tosh
and Robin Williams for good measure

And if not for him, I never would have known what the Golden Globes were. I wish I still didn't, Gervais was tame up there this year.

I'm suddenly imagining Russell Brand and Frankie Howerd's bizarre love child.

It's slightly disturbing.

No, it's very disturbing. :o
