favorite song right now?

Post » Thu Jun 14, 2012 2:28 pm

It's doing it on purpose, to spite me. I finished my exams on the last day of the super hot weather and it all went down hill from then. :(

I think it's managed to spite a lot of people! Like much of the rest of the country, there were jubilee celebrations on at the playing field in our street and it absolutely totally and utterly pissed down the whole time. I felt rather sorry for the organisers, they'd put a lot of effort into it.

I was in the supermarket the other day and a Sheryl Crow song came on from several years ago I had never heard before. Don't usually pay much attention to her, but I liked this one and it stuck in my head.

http://video.search.yahoo.com/video/play?p=lifetimes%20sheryl%20crow&tnr=21&vid=4655921228152939&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fts4.mm.bing.net%2Fvideos%2Fthumbnail.aspx%3Fq%3D4655921228152939%26id%3D92f3685265a50813975219a4283969ea%26bid%3D%252b7WHx5N2KUrmKA%26bn%3DThumb%26url%3Dhttp%253a%252f%252fwww.tudou.com%252fprograms%252fview%252fRvccSPi4d1E%252f&rurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.tudou.com%2Fprograms%2Fview%2FRvccSPi4d1E%2F&sigr=11f726j7l&newfp=1&tit=Sheryl+Crow-lifetimes

Some Chinese language video site, but they had the best quality.

Cop Shoot Cop - Heads I Win, Tails You Lose

Listened to CSC for years now but lately this tune has really dropped anchor in my mind. Rock, Industrial and Swing tossed in a blender...I can honestly say you don't get that these days.

My favourite song at this moment is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTqFa4bDTYM.

My favourite song of all time generally sways between http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hTWKbfoikeg&ob=av2e, and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9mJ82x_l-E&ob=av2e.

Been playin jRPGs again lately. Persona 2 and FFIV: The After Years. This song will not leave my head. No matter how hard I try.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C92UWeYXmIw - The Mysterious Girl's theme
Somewhat innocent and relaxing...yet menacing. It's not my favorite song, it's just overpowering everything else so much I can't think of any others I like at the moment.

I mean I know I liked these two songs better...but I can't recall how they go at the moment because that other song is still playing.

Either "Takada" by Sukimasangyo, or my old standby "Supa Scoopa and Mighty Scoop" by Kyuss.

Listen to more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PvR-reh8NJc. Or you could check out Baby Zizanie, which is Foetus with Cop Shoot Cop - although it's not rock-jazz.

Oh I love Foetus as well. Though, I've fallen a bit behind on their newer stuff. Didn't know of Baby Zizane, thanx.

Hole is my all-time favorite record by Foetus also. Just an amazing slice of music.

5 days ago I bought the album http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM1lIrqixnQ and I've listened to it a lot since then. Can't name a particulary track from the album though, they are all connected like one long 41 minute song.

Well, listening to this at least four times today...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S33tWZqXhnk&feature=relmfu may very well mean this moment.
Tommy is pretty amazing. Have you ever seen him live? I've seen him several times when he's come through town...jaw-dropping.

Kyuss - Supa Scoopa and Mighty Scoop (Desert Rock/Stoner Rock)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_t2gE1EsKU
They were in town recently as well. Fun show...would have been better with Josh Homme, though. :P

Oh yes. Saw him at the Ark in Ann Arbor, MI back in 2010...I think...
He's my favorite guitar player in the entire world...the consummate entertainer and utterly astonishing.
