http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Jingwei%27s_Shocksword was one of my favorites along with the http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Chinese_stealth_armor_%28Operation:_Anchorage%29 from Fallout 3. I killed so many things with that combo and never got detected!

http://i40.tinypic.com/mhyi6e.jpg from Demon’s Souls. This is a sword forged from dragon bones long ago by the Burrowers, the original inhabitants of Stonefang. Unfortunately, the Burrowers dug too deep and uncovered the Dragon God, a fearsome and nigh invincible beast. This weapon was forged out of dragonbone for the express purpose of killing it and all of its ilk. Somehow, the Burrowers were able to defeat the demon and contain it within a pool of magma, and since set up powerful ballistae to slay it again when the day comes that it will reawaken.

Since then, the sword has been considered both a legend and a joke among blacksmiths, since at its immense size it can hardly be called a sword. In the hands of a strong enough warrior, however..

Anyway, about it, it's so heavy that you're likely only going to get one swing out of it. But one swing is all you're going to need, provided you can pass the steep strength requirements. It can kill just about everything in one hit, including bosses, stun those that it doesn't, and has a nice sweeping attack that'll hit everything in a circle around you and knock them off their feet, making it a great PvP weapon. It has fairly mediocre scaling, but the base damage is so high it doesn't matter. It makes playing a character based off of Guts awesome yet practical, which is the best part!

Well, mine has a bit of a story to it. So I have a girlfriend, awesome girl, you should meet her. Anyways she has a name, Maria. So one day I'm playing a videogame. Fallout: New Vegas, and I happen upon this schmuck of a character and I decided to have a brawl to the death with him. He was no match for me. Anyways he had this gun that he apparently was naming after my girlfriend. So I thought, "Hey, this schmuck deserved to die, I'm glad I beat him to death!". Anyways that's my story of my favorite weapon in any videogame, http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Maria.

The Butcher's Cleaver from Diablo1.
I have no story to go with it. It just looked cool, plus it meant I'd killed the guy instead of him killing me.

I liked a lot of the weapons from the Might & Magic series as well. There was that red dagger relic in M&M8, I can't remember its name...it was for the Vampire class I think.

Ah, you found my high school yearbook picture. Class of 2276!

Anyways, I never thought real closely about my favorite item in a video game before, but offhand I would pick the Spring Mushroom from Super Mario Galaxy, for the http://images.wikia.com/wii/images/8/85/Spring_mario-1-.jpg.

Guess I will throw another favorite unique out there in a revival and nostalgic effort.

It was not necessarily Unique(like 5 sets) but http://images.wikia.com/elderscrolls/images/9/92/Her_hand.JPG from Morrowind's Tribunal Expansion was one of my favorite armors of all time.
