[REQ] Female versions of armor

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:18 am

I was wondering if anyone can either make the armors from the different faction more female like. When putting them on my character has a male body like the powder gangers etc.. Also the reinforced leather armor is doing the same thing.

Thanks :D

seconded. I noticed that too - seems like in FO3 there was a real difference in armours. In New Vegas, seems like armour is the same for male or female (just bigger chest is the only difference)

If FO3 is anything to go by these will be replacers designed around the body replacers. I think MadCat has already done one for Exnem, although it might not be the style you're looking for.

I will have to go look for them. Has he uploaded them yet> I do not think I have seen them.

I like it, but if you get the chance, roll a female and put some powder ganger armor on or the reinforced leather armor, you'll see what I am saying. its like they are using the same meshes as the males, thus makign our bodies look like males with a slightly larger chest

A conversion of all the female outfits to Type3 is in progress... not stripperific, just giving them a female shape. You'll have to search for it on Nexus, can't link from here.

Can't you just use the Type 3 fitted outfits made for Fallout 3? Sure it won't have the new stuff, but i'd imagine majority of the outfits have been recycled.

Yeah, my characters went from a C-cup with boobs and a waist to a -A stick-man. <.< Kinda surprised that the game was released with that, but I guess it was an oversight or they ran out of time during crunch week.

I will definitely be downloading a nice conversion when it's released, but am hoping a little more direction could be given than "search on Nexus." (Like, keywords, somethin') Kind of makes me wary that this 'conversion' is just another dude converting everything to bikini chainmail. :/

The conversion I did for the Painspike armor makes it possible to see the nipble under the strainer-bra. That puts the mod under the advlt content rules for this forum. If you search for author name 'Exeter' you'll find it.

I switched over to Babe MK3, but haven't released any yet. I have permissions to REL the base body by Brurpo, reconforms for leather, metal, NCR_gambler03, prosttute02, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head. Some of the armors also have some... "Dermal Exposure Optimization" :whistling:

I switched to Babe because A: It's better than the vanilla bod (but aren't they all ;) ), B: it's not a waif with spaghetti arms like Type3, C: It's not barbie-esque in figure like Exnem's, and D: it has IMO the best fitting texture to vanilla stuff that hasn't been reconformed yet. The only real misalignment I've seen is on one of the prosttute outfits, where the electric tape pasties don't exactly line up wih the texture of what they're supposed to cover up.

I was really disappointed when I put on my Powder Ganger outfit and my female character got a male body. :\

I'll be looking forward to a good female replacement for the vanilla armors. :)

I like Babe better than type3 because, like you said, twig arms and all, though i still think babe's midsection is overly skinny. I wish there was body like your EBE from oblivion. I'm kind of disappointed that nothing like HGEC happened for fallout, that is to say several interchangeable variants of one body type that wont conflict. Sure type 3 has a bunch of versions, but they are all basically the same body-type with minor changes and still look like they would snap in half if they tripped on a rock.

I also agree with madcat, Babe Mk3 is better that type3. My female char look anorexic with it.
And we really need a conversion of FNV Armor, it look like the male model is the same for female...

I'm also curious to know how you made the conversion ? What kind of program we need to use for that ? Blender ? How do you remodel the armor to look like babe Mk3 ?

She's obviously a belly dancer and gains better damage protection by dodging her belly out the way while unarmoured.

i'd like to see a type v version but not like that reinforced leather armor, the skin of the original is great and just needs to be feminized (like more hips and less rib cage)
if someone know where i can find a good tutorial on how to do those things i'd be glad to do it myself (just to see if it's not too hard for me)

Decon's (Exeter on Nexus) is pretty much already what you're looking for, apart from arguably the Raider armors (which are tasteless to begin with ...)

yes i know i use this mod but i don't like those arms either, they are far too thin and the shoulders near inexistent http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/images/34825-4-1287876981.jpg (no offence)
type v is imho a far better model to begin with

edit: well i've made some test and i might say that my haircut wasn't helping as it was a little big
now that i have a better one it looks less weird but still those shoulders ...
