I really liked the part when it ruined my saves. That was awesome.

Buy at your own risk until patched.

I totally agree the forgotten vale was epic! When i first walked into that place i was just amazed at the scenery and im hoping there will be more of this in the future dlc's. I loved entering another oblivion realm and i also hope to see more of that. Maybe less fetch quests in next dlc but all in all it was really fun! :D

Sounds wonderful. But it really is time for Bethesda to commit to a PC release date.

LOVED the Soul Cairn, it has a really great vibe. Will have to play through it again near Halloween. Played through the Forgotten Vale last night and was blown away. Very atmospheric and a great sense of scale! All the locales in the DLC feel very refined and polished. It is obvious they took their time to put this together.

They added cool stuff for all classes, new enemies, huge chunk of maps, dark dungeons, vendors, dragon bone weapons, mounted combat, armored freaking trolls...

I just wish they would have made it so you could be recruited by the vampires instead of starting with the dawngaurd. That made no sense to me.

What if I'm a vampire before I ever start DG?

I don't know, but they aren't meant to be nice people. so anyone approaching their fortress that wasn't invited could be perceived as a threat. and I don't they would recruit every man and his dog who just waddles in.

A positive post? What is the world coming to!?

I've been tearing up Skyrim with my vampire lord for around 40 hours and I too have been loving it.

Not entirely. Just had to make it stale by throwing in "no fast traveling" .

Then they'd see you as an "accidental vampire" and try to kill you.

Most vampires in the Elder Scrolls series don't like people who become vampires by contracting the disease, and Harkon is no exception to this.

I agree, the Forgotten Vale and the Soul Cairn were my favorite places to go in this DLC and I loved how they made the Frost Giants look a lot different from the giants in the plains outside Whiterun. There was something about being in the Forgotten Vale that made me happy.I like the new higher level enemies they added and don't even get me started on how much I like the new weapons and armour. All in All,great DLC,experienced a few glitches but all I had to do was start a new game and they were fixed,I'm definetly getting the next DLC's they release.

Off-topic-Do you think they will do what they done with oblivion and released smaller packs which were just player houses like the thieve's den and things like that?

They are all re-visitable,they wouldn't put all that work into a place for it to get locked after one quest.

Forgotten Vale was great, the Soul Cairn? As i expected... Vast expanse of nothingness with barely anything to do, felt like soooo much more could have been done with it.

Both the Soul Cairn and the Forgotten Vale were amazing, especially the latter. It had a very noticeable Skyrim vibe to it with a much more mystical twist. Loved it. <3

I loved it too.

In fact, after I finished it I went back to a save I had in the middle because I love the vamp attacks, mysterious travellers, and all the other stuff going on out on the roads at night. I love skulking around with my crossbow while using Aura Whisper and taking out vamps who are hiding waiting to ambush - good times.

Like others here, I didn't have any issues with dead NPCs in my towns - I never carriage or fast travel - play on master.

Didn't like the Soul Cairn - my only complaint - seemed it could have been so much more.

Couldn't imagine going to back to vanilla Skyrim now.

I thought the Soul Cairn was huge and beautiful until I got to the Forgotten Vale. That place is just amazing. I loved how it had so many path ways and I ended up getting lost several times. There were also some hidden areas in the caves that you had to look for which was nice. And the dragons at the frozen lake were simply amazing. That was one of my favorite moments in the DLC. The whole experience is fantastic and took me quite a few hours to complete. Way more than the 20 that was mentioned initially. Totally worth the money I spent and that was only playing the Dawnguard side. I still have the whole Vampire questline to do. And yes I realize it goes to the same places but I still want to play it just to see how things turn out. I would highly recommend this DLC to any Skyrim fan.

I think there are place in the Forgotten Vale that I still haven't seen!

Actually, I honestly fast traveled (SHAME, SHAME I know) out of there since I could not find my way back.... Is it through the Darkfall passage? I plan on going back. There is a frost Troll lurking somewhere I did not find.
