Oh God,enough of spoilers, the interactive video was too much, even though the review may not contain any plot spoilers,it might show some stuff I haven't seen before, and I want to keep this for my first experience. Thanks for posting anyways.

EDIT: Ah,by the way,the video give any score for the game? I don't really visit CVG.

I'd rather not chance even a slight reveal of any more spoilers.

Review^^

Don't really like the cons...

Edit: Whoops. Bad wording. I mean I didn't like that the reviewer listed those things as a con.

I don't mind a slow-burner; I prefer Fallout 3's opening to [insert generic shooter here]'s opening.

Don't really have a problem with the second con,I'm fast on learning, and I don't see how lots of NPCs can make the story lose focus.

Don't really have a problem with the second con,I'm fast on learning, and I don't see how lots of NPCs can make the story lose focus.
The idea is that the more characters there are, the less focus that can be given for each of them. What would be better, to have a handful of really strong characters or hundreds of generic one-liners? It's not a deal breaker for me though, the pluses more than make up for it.

Edit; and besides, if he gives it a 9.5, then the cons are just him trying to find something to criticise to balance the review rather than glaring faults.

Pretty shallow and generic review from people who don't know how to criticize games. Not surprised.

Those things aren't even cons because they don't apply to Dishonored. It doesn't have a lot of characters and it doesn't receive the normal exposition and characterization that other mediums do. The second thing is not a con, it's a good progression curve.

That's true, but in the middle of many generic irrelevant characters,I'm sure there will be some very nice other NPCs.And also,as established before, the cons seems more like nitpicking.

Takes a while to learn is a plus, that means it's sophisticated and has plenty of options.
A surplus is NPC's is a surplus of inspiration, which is also a good thing.
It seems like the only cons are that the game might be too smart, that's just nitpicking.
People underestimate other people, they probably thought: 'this might be confusing for others' while it wasn't for themselves.
Perhaps if you really are dumb (IQ of 70 or less) this might be confusing. As for the rest, there might be a slight difference in time to really learn the game.

I can picture the reviewer: "cons, cons, cons... a good review has to have them... I AM a good reviewer, cmon... something... ah, stuff it, I'll throw this in for the CoD crowd!"

lol, lots of charakters and lore and a game that takes some time to learn! What more do I want?!

Damn straight, the game is flawless, and they have no idea what to say as a con,so they start to make stuff up to pass the idea of a "balanced good reviewer".

I doubt it'll be flawless, like any game, but "slow-burning" sounds more like an acquired taste than a well-balanced criticism.

Pretty sure that the game's flaws would be very small and not really relevant to the gameplay, and I don't really know a lot of people that like the entire game information and mechanics thrown at their face, instead of a well-paced learning.Quite difficult game to review.

How on earth are some gamers getting through this in 4 hours? I could have easily have spent an hour just poking about the small section I played recently! Also I have succumbed to temptation and ordered both console versions :D

Could somebody list the pros and cons they gave in short language as the video's private, and no spoilers (like say "good plot" instead of mentioning plot details and saying "cool powers" instead of"you can do x power that makes y happen")

Thank you .

I'm not really expecting the aggregate to be this high (I hope I'm wrong, since it'd hugely benefit the game though). Immersive sims always have a good number of reviewers who are left scratching their heads.

I am looking forward to what RPS and Sneaky Bastards think about it though. I know they're in the proper headspace to review this kind of game.
