Guys can you actually read what he wrote in context. From a coding perspective Blizzard games, including WoW, are as solid as a rock. I've had Skyrim crash more in one day than I have all of blizzards titles over a span of 15+ years. As far as modding yea it would have been nice to have the innards be up to date. It's a great game and it looks cutting edge to me but when you look deep and examine it a lot of things about the game are just old and lazy.
wow has also been out for like 7 years now and their graphics are bad
its kinda hard to crash on a game that can be run pretty much with on-board graphics and 1 gig of ddr1 ram....
its apples and oranges. a new game with amazing graphics vs a 7 year old game with [censored] graphics.
OBVIOUSLY the older game will like wow will be more stable cuz it only comes down for a 40 hours each month for fixes (which usually end up in more glitches and [censored] going wrong)
crashing isnt an issue. i only crash when waiting or leaving buildings sometimes.. but it takes like, 20 seconds or so to get back in and continue on... not a big deal. and im sure with the game being only a couple weeks old, patches will fix it.
