No flame effects. : V

I am unsure if this problem applies to other magical effects, because I just started playing, but for some reason, the fire breath from dragons and fire effects of spells don't appear.
The only effect that appears is the scorching marks on wood etc.
Anyone else got this problem?
Any idea how to fix it.
It is somewhat of annoyance.

Just wanted to report the same problem. Also missing: the blue lines going into the heaven when activating a thief/fighter/mage-stone.

That is exactly what I have.
At least now I know I am not the only one with this problem.
Hopefully it can be fixed.

I just cant play anymore. I buyed some new cool spells and the effect is just a little sphere flying to the enemy.
this destroy my imersion.

Agreed. Especially when the dragons lack their fire breathing.
It kills the immersion.

What is your hardware BeanbagToad?

My graphics card is GeForce GTX 260, and my computer passes the minimum requirements easily.
Maybe I should try to load a new driver for the card or something.

Don't really know. I am updating it right now however.
This is the first time when this computer has actually had any problems with any game, so I never even though about checking it for compatibility when I bought Skyrim, as it never has had these problems before.

One thing I noticed just now id the fact that lighting magic hasn't these problems for some reason.

thats becaus the problem is on the particle generator. Lighting spell has no particle.

Updating the driver fixed the bug for me.
I gues I should have tried it first instead of coming here, bu hopefully this helps other folks too.

Same happens to me too. Radeon 3870 desktop graphics on Win7 64bit.
At first I thought it would turn out to be a 3870 issue. Seems it does not only affect hd3870 cards. Weird coincidence though, way too many 3870-s have it.

Reseted driver to factory defaults, no use. Fiddled with all the settings in the options menu, still to no avail. Turned off Vsync, no use. Im out of options for now.

Hunting google and forums for a sollution atm...

Will post if I manage to find a remedy somewhere.

Updated my driver. Still got the problem
