for the men playing as a female character

I would guess more than 50% of guys making female characters will make them lisbian.

I romanced Alistair in Dragon Age mostly for his humor. If you read Infernal City, someone like Colin because of his cunning and bravery. Whenever I decide to play as a girl I won't be LOOKING for a husband, but might marry if I meet the right guy somewhere.

I don't always play female, but I usually start as a dunmer nightblade (not really, but similar). I'll probably try Argonian since they look so cool, but as for a female character, whoever I can make look attractive. Hopefully a dunmer, but in the long run I'll most likely use a custom race because they generally look better.

My female Nord monk is not going to marry. I couldn't stand the male voices talking to me in ... that way. Although they are technically talking to my character, this is a crossdressing-line I can't cross. :sadvaultboy:

I wouldn't take it that far, granted I always play as a male myself. Playing as a female just feels a bit odd. That said, someone had a good reason for it when saying "If I'm going to spend 300 hours staring at this character's butt, it might as well be a female." I didn't bother pointing out that one could toggle view points...

I've just always been more than a bit put-off by the amount of guys out there who seem to love playing as a female just for the sixual appeal of it.
I could just be sixually repressed, I suppose.

Husband? I think you'll find most female characters who's users are men are lisbians.
Ding, Ding, Ding...

Host - "Tell him what he wins, Jonny."
Jonny - "It's a brand new car!"

All the male characters I create, I try to play them as me, inside the game. All the female characters I create, I play them as me inside their heads, thinking for them not actually seeing myself as them. I'm a lisbian trapped in a man's body. So playing with a lisbian character, comes easy. Besides, all of the female characters are smokin' hot and easy on the eyes...And usually meaner than a cat stuffed in a mailbox.

Difficult question to answer.

I've played a good number of female TES characters, but I've never really thought of any of them as having a sixuality, per se. Male ones either.

Perhaps I'll just leave it that way if I make any more wimmin heroes.

Regardless of who is what six, my character will be the provider, so my mate's wealth won't matter.

I actually see the marriage system in this game as a great reason to not play as the opposite six.

That's a really good point, and probably figured into my choosing a male character as my first playthrough.

Ugh, relationships. Not for me thanks, no matter which gender I play. Far too busy saving the world or just killing people to be settling down with another half.

While I'm only interested in playing male characters who will marry males... If, hypothetically, I make a female character somewhere down the line, I doubt she'd get married at all. I'm not into hetero relationships, nor am I into lisbian relationships, and have absolutely no interest in playing it in the game when I can play the way I want...

I have noooo intentions of making a female character - ew gross! I will be making a sixy male character who marries an equally sixy male character for that hunk-to-hunk action! WOO HOO!!

And who knows, maybe this type of relationship will open some some secret backdoors... ; D

I find it easier to get into a different character by playing a female. If I play a male I often end up just playing myself.

Although this means I can play thieves, assassins and killers, this isn't just my stupid male chauvinistic ideas that "women are all crazy". It's just a way of disassociating my own personality from my characters.

So I don't think there's anything creepy about playing as a female, however I'll probably end marrying someone just like me in the game. Which is perhaps a bit narcissistic.

Just a bit of a joke, I rollplay lisbian also, because I see woman as having more empathy than men, it's the one thing I enjoy about these games "Be who you want, do what you want"

That I cannot do. It is why I have 3 Achievements That will never be completed, in Dragon Age. Although, I RP my female chars like I'm directing and/or watching a movie. Having them romance a male NPC would feel like I was watching some dude, make out with my sister. Surprisingly, when they make out with a female NPC, the sister thing never enters the picture.

Imagine that.

This is also my rationale, more or less. The disassociation factor helps me to avoid playing as... me.

Eh? This one requires further explanation.

When I played Fallout New Vegas I wanted to be a straight female, but the only action I saw was Red Lucy. No one else showed any interest. Oh, tell a lie, I seduced Benny and killed him in his sleep, but that was "unfinished business"

OK, here's another question. How many male players will (deliberately) play an unattractive female? Have to admit, no chance for me. All my characters male or female have been as hot as I can make them.

It is an interesting question and goes right to the heart of how we identify and role-play.

I personally play as both genders in very different ways, but eroticism has little to do with it (unlike setting orcs on fire, you can actually engage it that in the real world). Mythology and hero/heroine myths affect us in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Campbell, its rarely as simple as projecting your own ego on the screen IMHO.

Will my female Imperial from a disgraced noble family [censored] a woman in Skyrim? It depends on the woman. Same goes for my orphaned barbarian Nord.
