For those that have encountered no freezing issues

What's your Lakeview house set-up?

Decided to re roll another character, delete heathfire and Dawnguard, then re install them.

Lakeview was unusable due to freezes and my set up was - Greenhouse, Armoury and Alchemy lab (all fully furnished) Safe to say i won't be doing that again.

Edit: Forgot to mention I'm only interested in the opinions from people that have the full set up, because i too had no issues until i had fully annexed the house and furnished it. So with that in mind, if you only have the basic house, there's no point adding to the thread as i know the house is fine during the inital stages.

Any help greatly appreciated.

i had the opposite as you, while building and furnishing lakeview the game froze twice. now its a fully furnished family home (bedroom, kitchen, storeroom) with almost all upgrades inside and out and luckily no more freezing yet. i havent tried manually placing objects in my home and display cases yet so if you have then maybe thats causing the freezing.

Cheers, mate. I attempted to place an item, but gave up as it's still a nightmare. Really not sure if the greenhouse is what caused my issues as the vast majority of people that are having these issues have the greenhouse, with all furnishings.

My lakeview manor house is the bedroom set, storage, and armory for the porches, but I also have in Hjaalmarch a kitchen, bedroom and trophy room, and the Pale, all the towers. None of them freeze, and all are fully decorated.

Built lakeview with kitchen, greenhouse and storage, fully furnished--->freeze after about 20 seconds after i enter the house.
Built lakeview manor, same character with bedroom, storage and kitchen, fully furnished--->no freezes yet.

It's the greenhouse.At least,at lakeview.

Gonna go with the bedroom. Problem might be the plants respawning quicker than they do everywhere else. Something's not right with it. I had the bedroom, kitchen and trophy room on the Dawnstar house and no issues with it. However, the other two houses with the greenhouse were freezing within seconds too. Wasn't gonna build the 3rd house (Morthal), but wanted to see if it had the same issues as Lakeview - it did.

Lakeview - bedroom, kitchen, trophy room
Windstad - bedroom, kitchen, storage
Heljarchen - enchanting tower, alchemy tower, armory

I have noticed the most amount of freezing between the building and furnishing stages. It was to the point in Windstad that I had to leave it for a while because everything I did froze. Shut off game, cleared cache, restarted, did a walk-a-bout to pick up more iron ingots, and when I got back the freezing was over. Haven't had an issue yet in that house...or any of the rest of them...with freezing.

Its in the DB sanctuary. If you dont want to join, kill astrid when you first meet her and start the quest to destroy them. When you gain access, its on a shelf to your right upon entry.

My Lakeview setup is
Bedrooms
Storage
Library

Small house was remodelled as an entryway all furnishings built ( often multiple times) and were made by my character, but a lot of stuff in the cellar never appeared although it seems to be gradually turning up. Nothing in Hearthfire has frozen, yet. Maybe when all the furnishings turn up something will change. Almost all display cases, racks and plaques etc have something in or on them, I make the last trip for that today. The mannequin in the cellar has yet to turn up, so cannot test that one. Although all the original contents of sacks and drums were removed, not all have anything in them, most of the wardrobes and other storage are still empty.

Lakeview was started first, but finished last, it was missing two wings till the other two houses were completely built, I have not placed anything new in the house outside of the set storage and display.

I've had 3 freezes so far, but it's been okay outside. It's not a big problem for me so I'll list my arrangement.
West-wing = Green House
North-wing = Alchemist tower
East-wing = Armory/storage

Try it in another location then, the greenhouse is too good to miss out on.

I had a little lag, to the point where 6 seconds of game were unplayable. Nothing since. It's been 12 hours game time.

Lakeview : Kitchen, Bedrooms, Alchemy Tower (for position of view overlook)

Solitude plot (forgot the name): trophy room, armory, green house

Pale plot: i own the land but havnt decided what to build yet or even want to. Location is to close to Loreius farm i dont like that.

As for freezing im getting random freezing when i did place the green house on the Lakeview plot. I ran several saved games, reloading and rebooting the xbox also clearing the cache memory.

In every one of my saves I found that when i left a fully upgraded GreenHouse on my Lakeview plot my games/saves would freeze during gameplay randomly anywhere in Skyrim for a few seconds and it did not matter where I was located or quest i was on.

Removed the greenhouse from Lakeview and placed it on the Solitude plot (forget the name) and deleted the former saves with the greenhouse attached to Lakeview and my game No longer freezes.

****adding additional info: Maniquins! tested several several saves and when I removed ALL armor from every Thane House and only placed the armor on the new Maniquins in the Hearthfire plots the Armor is visible (minus stormcloak officer helm still shows invisible) and the Maniquins stay in place and no longer spawn anywhere or float around the plot after zoning.

Also after adding three chickens, cow, horse, carrige coach upon exiting text with any steward. The option to hire a bard is no longer available meaning no text available to upgrade the home to add a Bard or replace a dead cow due to bandits.

Apology dont want to derail but...... Mr H. if possible can you alow musical instruments as gifts to give to our newely adopted children please? and if possible can you alow us to give our stewards and wife a new clothing outfit as well. Similar to how giving a new outfit to children is in this new dlc hearthfire - thanx in advance.

.... noticed the many new recipes in game like Clam Chower thanks for that! Definately adds to the immersion of the game. Freakin awesome!

I also had a freezing issue with the lakeview manor plot. Also had a greenhouse removed the workbench from it seemed to fix the problem. Just think the lakeview plot has many bugs.

maybe its the entry hall. I am finding that and the greenhouse are the most common attributes in all glitch cases. perhaps a fully furnished Entry hall and Greenhouse cause freezing

I just finished my Lakeview Manor, with all furnishing's crafted (not bought). I have no freezing, and my layout is Armory, Trophy Room and Enchanting Tower. I have Housecarl, Steward, Wife, Bard, 2 children, dog and fox. So I have a lot of activity inside the house and still no freezing.
