Hey there. I'm a decent ways into the game, and everything has been running smooth thus far.

-Spoiler Alert-

I just killed Campbell by switching the glasses of wine, and escaped through the window, successfully stashing the unconscious dude in a dumpster. However now every time I try and enter the next area (Back Yard I believe) to meet Samuel, the game freezes during the loading screen. I tried multiple times, I even installed the game onto the hard drive, but that didn't work either.

Anything that can be done?

I'm also having this issue with my game, but in a different area, a side mission just one mission ahead of you. It's also on the PS3, but I have been looking to see if any others have my issue.

I have a loading screen freeze, that at the moment seems to be a game breaker.

During the cambell mission, I'm doing the side quest grabing the infected rat tissue out of the doctors house. Once I try to leave, by any of the three doors, my game locks up at the loading screen. I've runned the game from disk and then installed to the HDD, no luck. I can't get out of that stupid house.

Exact same issue for me as well, though I'm getting it during Slackjaw's mission in Dr. Galvani's office. The game freezes every time I try to leave the office now and I'm forced to reset my Xbox. I can't seem to find any other way around the crash aside from loading a save from two hours previous and hoping it doesn't happen again.

I would like to add to my original post that I have been in this area before, getting all the bone charms and runes. On top of that I can exit to other areas as well and the game runs fine. But through either of the two (that I know of) entrances, I can't get into the Back Yard area.

Just a follow up. Restarting the Golden Cat mission from the beginning didn't fix the issue. Game still freezes every single time I try to leave Galvani's office. Really disappointing, since now I can't continue my non-lethal playthrough due to being unable to complete this side mission.

Great, I was just going to restart mine in an attempt to get through it. I tried everything trying to get out of galvani's office with not luck. Nothing left but to restart.

The same thing is happening to me, I returned the game and got a new copy but it didnt help. I emailed them so hopefully they will fix this!

The house is the thing giving me problems too!

I have been having the same trouble on the Golden Cat mission just as i try to enter the Golden Cat area of the map... Huge bummer i have been looking forward to playing this game for so long and i can't play through the 2nd mission.

scratch that last remark. my game freezes in everyloading screen on this map so i'm pretty much just left wondering the streets of dunwall

I am having the same issue but with Galvini's office. This is SlackJaw's sidequest and I can enter the building just fine but I freeze everytime I try to leave. :/

I've gone through the Golden Cat mission up to where it has me acquire the journal for the Dunwall Distillery. I'm now stuck in Dr. Galvani's Offices. I can gather all items inside, mess around in there all I want, but the moment I try to leave (out either door, ground or 2nd floor) the game freezes at the load screen.

It does this on every attempt, I think the only thing I might be able to do is load an autosave back like 4 hours if I want to keep that file. No guarantee it just won't freeze on that go either...

I too am stuck in this praticular predicament. Tryed leaving from all 3 floors and each time it's the same thing. The loading screen comes up but it's distorted and the console stops responding so I have to restart it. I think I will email support as well and see when this will be remedied.

So support sent back and said to clear my HDD cache. I can give it a whirl I suppose.

I tried clearing my hard drive cache. It didn't work. I am stuck in Galvani's office as well.

I went on the Facebook page as well and asked and I've been told it's either my console or the disc itself, but nothing is wrong with my 360, Hell I'm playing XCOM right now. And I don't think it's the disk as all of you have the same issue. And also, when I googled it their seems to be the same problem on the PC. So my guess is it's an issue they will have to solve with an upcoming patch. I hope anyway.

There's no way it's a problem with your console or disc, because this exact issue is happening to a few dozen people based on the responses in this forum, myself included. It's probably even more than that assuming not everyone posts who is having the issue. They need to patch this, because this crash makes it impossible to do a non-lethal playthrough, something they've spent so much effort advertising about Dishonored. I'm really disappointed that there hasn't been a single official response anywhere on these forums to this crash. It's clearly a huge problem and it's affecting more than just a few people. It's only going to happen to more and more people as time goes on.

I restarted the mission and just skipped the side part through the distillery and its been working fine :/ Hopefully by the next play through it will be fixed.

My guess'd be a random issue is corrupting that save game (or game session, rather). I bet that loading an earlier save (much earlier), or restarting that mission, would fix the issue entirely.

Following up. Nothing seems to work. Clearing the HDD Cache, Restarting the console, Installing the game to hard drive, Hell I even changed difficulties to see if that would work.

Has anyone actually restarted the game from the beginning to see if they can get past the issue with a fresh start?

Seeing GStaff's Post, i'll look into it, and post back asap. I'd also like to reaffirm that i'm stuck at a further point than Dr. Galvani's office. The issue isn't solely in that area.

So yeah, chalk up another game with this issue. I am in Galvani's house (Golden Cat Side Mission), have just acquired the audio message of Slackjaw's minion, have high chaos, knocked out both nearby guards, have developed vitality lv 2, dark sight and possesion and that one that causes enemies to turn to ash lv 1, blink lv 2, i don't know how many hours off the top of my head, but not very many (only 5 at very most), nobody was alert to my passage, and my inventory included ammo of every type except sleep bolts. I've tried restarting my Xbox multiple times with no help, every door out of the place gives the same result, and i even tried exchanging the disk for another one in the hopes that it was a defective disk. No dice on any of these. Bethesda, so far you've yet to let me down... please patch this or something!!!
