Game still crashing

Actually, StreamSmooth alters your video settings as well. They modify different settings, but neither touches your Resolution or any of those types of settings. StreamSight handles more of the distant (really distant) view effects, and StreamSmooth will modify the view distance of various things.

I do not have a computer, so I cannot check. However, if you installed MMM 3.7b3 on top of MMM 3.55, then you definitely need to redo that. Uninstall MMM 3.55 and MMM 3.7b3. Delete 3.55 afterward, and then install 3.7b3 again.

Snip from My install.......
41 Mart's Monster Mod - More Wilderness Life.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
++ Mart's Monster Mod - Looting NPCs & Creatures.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
42 Mart's Monster Mod - Zombies for Body Meshes.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
43 Mart's Monster Mod - Safer Quest Locations.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
44 Mart's Monster Mod - Dungeons of MMM.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
45 Mart's Monster Mod - Hunting & Crafting.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
46 Mart's Monster Mod - Farm Animals.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]
47 Mart's Monster Mod - Diverse WaterLife.esp [Version 3.7b3p3f]
++ Mart's Monster Mod - Slof Horses Complete.esp [Version 3.7b3p3]

This will cause problems...you need to redo MMM all numbers match for the MMM options.

The OP just needs to do a clean install of MMM 3.7b3 and everything will be fine on the MMM end.

Yes but its these little things that lead to crashes that are often missed...the thread went into adding in a bunch of other Programs and mods when the BASE install is flawed. Hard to stand on broken legs.

On that same subject, isn't FransFemale.esp the replacer from the EVE HGEC package? I don't see any of the base EVE replacers listed, so that might cause a crash if FransFemale needs one of the EVE replacer plugins.

Well, BOSS nor WB indicated that a plugin was missing as far as the fransfemale is concerned. And about reinstalling mmm, would i have to reinstall frans and ooo, or can mmm be installed on top of those. I was never sure about which had to be installed first.

No. MMM should be installed late in the FCOM setup anyway. Just do a clean reinstall of it. You have to deal with missing masters, however. Those cause instant CTDs on load. What master is that plugin missing? You can see the plugin's masterlist in one of the frames on the right side of the Bash window.

Edit: You may not need that plugin. I do not use HGEC or Exnem, and the Robert Female replacers I have do not use a plugin.

Edit: I need to create a site glossary for grouping pages by related information. Here are some pages to read for info about the Bash plugin color-coding:

http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/prep/wrye-bash
http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/prep/wrye-bash/bashmodstab
http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/finishinstall

Franfemale has these as masters. so your good here.

Francesco's Leveled Creatures-Items Mod.esm
Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm

Think the replacer for Eve does both HGEC or Exnem . So your good here as you said Bash is not showing missing masters.

I misread. I thought you said that there was a missing master. If not, then you are good on that front. Another thing that can cause crashes are UI menu conflicts. However, there should be some kind of consistency among the crashes to indicate a menu problem.

Well, i deactivated dark darn ui and after installing the mods you suggested above, i've not crashed in a while, so I'm optimistic atm. Will have to try dark darn ui again though. playing at night then having that glaring menu pop up can start to hurt the eyes after a while. :P

If uninstalling DarN helped, check to make sure you had the DarkUidDarn support installed for your other UI or UI-affecting mods. I use Dark UI, but regardless of which UI mod you use, you have to check the compatibility for UI mod: leveling mods for the levelup menu, inventory-affecting mods, Enhanced Economy has a menu that needs to override, LAME or SM used to have a menu file for the enchanting alter function, Kyoma's Journal mod has support for UI mods, Oblivion XP has support for UI mods...lots of things to check (easy to do with BAIN :).)

Isn't this the third thread with the same CTD issue and almost the same mod list? Personally, I'd scale down the mod list to a core set up so you get a stable game. Skip just about everything except the bare FCOM essentials and the mods you can't do w/o with your current char ATM.

When I reinstall from scratch I:

1. Start a new game with a patched Oblivion. If it seems to run fine I got that covered and I'll know that eventual problems further down aren't caused by the Oblivion install.
2. Add OOO, start a new game and check. Now it works with OOO as well. Yes!
3. Add the basic FCOM install. Check.
4. After that I can add one mod at a time while checking for issues/stability.

If you're new to mods, starting a new game with loads of new mods from the start makes it very difficult to troubleshoot what might be wrong.

I agree with all of that, but the list the OP has is only made up of a few "standard" mods and couple new item mods I guess: FCOM, LE (bundled or standalone), HF, some new items, BC, CM Partners, DLCs, Ren. There are four mods in the list I am not familiar with: Poison Arrows, the Lion Companion, ALE and LC-Compilation-Exnem.esp.

Edit: The stock armor replacer and Fran replacer for Exnem should be deactivated. They only need the graphics imported. Read those pages I linked about the Bash color-coding, and that should help you figure out which plugins to deactivate 99% of the time.

I try to keep my mod list short, and quite honestly, I really can't think of anything else i'd like to add to the list atm. Will try to get dark ui working again, and any compatibility patches that come along, but i don't think i'll be adding anymore armor/weapons/npcs, etc any time soon.

As far as new items go, I basically only add new clothes. You can find my load order under "Lists" on TESIV:POSItive. Some other users load orders are hosted in the "Real Load Orders" section under "Running Oblivion" as well.

WB mod list is all green, save list is all purple.

Wow, you've got mods i've never heard of. Long list. Didn't see Bash Patch at the bottom though.

I hope that means the game is launching now.

Yup, game is launching now, and not crashing on exit. Just had first ingame crash since you started helping this morning, so problem is 'bout fixed i think. If it truly is about vid card/power supply, then i'm kinda stuck with it atm.

What PSU are you using?

Edit: A PSU is on the cheaper side of the big-component upgrades, a little more expensive than a standard 2GB DDR2 RAM upgrade. You can get a 500W, a good one, for ~$60 I think.

Yes, but the thing is - if I understood the first thread correctly - that all those were added from the start. The OP doesn't even know if the game runs stable w/o mods as it is, which would make it a moot point updating this or removing that. Then it would be a question of checking drivers, running on a clean boot etc. Basically, as it is now it's very hard to give advice. And, more importantly, the OP has an unstable game which is no fun - and the tips can go on and on w/o any mod changes fixing it (if it is, say, a running background application causing the instability). I mean, it's 3 threads and 90 answers by now. Perhaps it's better to cut the Gordian knot? Anyway, just my 2 septims.

...first thread? I thought this was a continuation. I should have checked those first. Running a clean boot is a good suggestion. Before trying a clean boot, try this guide: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/runoblivion/firstrun. That should help with instability issues. It is good to follow for any setup, even if you know that the setup does not have any real conflicts or ran fine previously.
