Game of Thrones Easter Egg

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 3:52 am

If you go into Fort Dawnguard and continue to go to your right until you reach a natural cave you will find two dogs/wolves in a pen one with armor and one without, the dog with armor is named Bran refering to Bran from Game of Thrones who can control his direwolf in his sleep.

I <3 Bethesda moar because of this.

I thought of GoT when I saw the dog named Bran. But I also thought of Bran Castle, which was Dracula's castle.

Agreed. The ties to Dracula seem a lot stronger than GoT.

He could also be named Bran after the Hunting dog of Celtic legend. Similarly possible with Sceolan being named after Sceolang from the same story as Bran.

I agree. The show is phenomenal but the books are epic.

The season 2 finale cliffhanger of Game of Thrones was pretty awesome.

He's probably basing his "hot" assumption on Emilia Clarke who is in her 20s

You're joking, right? You see her naked like 10 times in the show so obviously she's above the age of 18.

Oh, you're right. I forgot all about that. I never really thought about it, especially since she's undressed like every other episode, lol.

Sadly, we all know that if true.. bethesda took inspiration from the tv series rather than the books.

i have the first book and started to read it and got to like chapter 15 i think and i gotta say they did a pretty damn good job with the show. i stoped read it tho cause i found the other 4 books for the a novel of the change series. which if any one hasn't read them yet you should the first book is called dies the fire.

any ways thats pretty cool i would have probably thought the same thing if i had dawnguard yet.

Actually, I distinctly remember reading an interview with a Bethesda employee who worked on Skyrim citing A Song of Ice and Fire as a very strong inspiration, particularly for the northern frozen tundra areas. You have to remember that ASOIAF has been around since the 1990s. Draugr are very similar to the wights, Forsworn like the wildlings, Riverwood - Riverrun, Winterhold - Winterfell, etc. There are many more I just can't remember off the top of my head

If I remember any more or find the interview I'll post it.
