Games You Wished Would Return

I know that all the Konami IPs are lost or rather being wastefully used on gambling machines in Japan. Hopefully Konami will fail financially and another developer and or publisher swoop in to resurrect Castlevania and it's legacy.

I watched a demo video for it and knew I wasn't going to be buying it. The only cool thing I liked about it was being able to put out lights.

They seriously need to strike that one from lore and continue where Wrath of Heaven left off.

I liked what they were trying to with HoMM4 in theory, just not in execution.. the idea of having your heroes actively take part in battle was interesting as a concept, and how various skills were linked (want grand master summoning? better start leveling up nature magic as its a pre-requisite) along with a Heroes class dynamically changing based on what skills you pick was interesting.. everything else though was pretty bad in 4, I still don't understand how they could crew up siege combat so badly.. i'd say 4's main saving grace was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkDXNSWJLuo

and I think everyone was ticked off at Enroth self-detonating during the reckoning ([censored] sword of frost).. Heroes 1-3, the Heroes Chronicles series, as well as M&M 6-8 had all been fleshing out Enroth so much, so quite a few people were quite upset when it pulled a Krypton.. although, we sort of knew something like that would happen eventually, after all the games didn't take place on Xeen forever..

the biggest issue with Enroth going boom for me was the timeline.. happened less then 2 years after the Alliance of Jadame stopped Escaton for doing nearly the exact same thing.. really didn't buy as much time as we thought we did did we..

Yep I'd like to see the continuation of the TES:A series. Redguard was pretty fun, so the Eye of Argonia would've been interesting. I'm not sure how Paradise Sugar would've been since it'd be solely Khajiiti, but I imagine they'd make it pretty cool.

Redguard was awesome, and my first TES game..

eye of Argonia would be amazing, but I actually think a full-remake of Redguard with a few more modern mechanics would sell quite well

either way, More Cyrus!

I would love to see HD versions of Civilizaton 2 and and old DOS game named Age of Rifles.

Man, I have an eye appointment next week. All the letters from typing this post are one big blur. Well at least I made it to 49 without needn't glasses!

I can't believe I forgot to add Myst in my wish list of wished video games that I wish would still be developed.

I played the Myst video games so much in the late 1990's and early 2000's.

It was one of the classic old video games I was trying to remember to add to my wish list.

While it's not a Myst game exactly, http://store.steampowered.com/app/306760/ looks interesting, is made by Cyan and has just come out to positive reviews. But yeah, a game made in the Myst universe would be ideal, and have all the old ones remade with updated graphics.

This one is definitely something I'd really hope to return. It's been years since that one trailer of the sequel was released. I know the chance of the game seeing the light of day is virtually nonexistent but one can always hope.

See I was thinking it was cool because we got to create our own shinobi/ninja!

....

Speaking of ninjas and creating our own, I would really like to see Soul Calibur VI someday.

Now that's a name I've hadn't heard in a while... Only played the 2nd game myself but I have a record on that game. Beat it in about 2 hours and 30 minutes, without dying. (Couldn't save).

Speaking of old PS1 games I've use to play... I wouldn't mind seeing a return of Gex.

Don't get me wrong I liked that too but for me Tenchu was always about them. Now what would be cool is if in the next game you can do the same but be a new member of their clan and pick who you want to play as and have each with their own story line that intertwine.

Oh and maybe have characters return from past games. Like Onikage, the girl from Deadly Shadows and the Dr from WoH. Not as playable but as part of the story. Give us a open world element with day, night, weather cycles so we can pick the best times to carry out missions. That is where Tenchu needs to go imo.

I gotcha. Don't remember much about the story but it did seem odd that you didn't play as Rikimaru.

Yes! I would love a game like this!

Pretty much bad guy doing bad things to take over Lord Goda's land and you find out more about it as you climb the ladder of assassination targets.... and there was a Sepheroth knock off ninja guy who may or may not have been the real threat.... that part was always vague and felt like that bit of storry was either gutted or tacked on.

You know, the more I think about it, the more I think it would be an easy money maker for Bethesda to do a re-release for current consoles. I'm not talking about a full overhaul with updated gameplay, but the same game we all know and love but with a few graphic tweaks, or hell, maybe even a straight up port with mod support. I must admit that my knowledge of what all would be involved for Bethesda to simply clean up the graphics a bit is lacking, but it would seem like an easy way to cash in on Morrowind yet again.
