@RCB: Love the picture with Dinky going against Teddy Bear. It's adorable.

@LadyCrimson: It's hilarious when your companions put on their angry expression. Especially when you turn around and they're just an inch from your face.

I play on the 360 so it's not as easy to grab interesting screens unless I plan on recording a boat load of videos, thus burning out my laptop. So here's a few screenshots of my first character, Nemain, that I like even though I wouldn't describe them as humorous:

Believe it or not, I did not pose them that way. They actually exist like that in game. Unfortunately, I forget where. It was a building with a lot of rooms to explore, like maybe one of the motels near Vegas, or the villa that the NCR occupies.

I love this game and I love the little humerous things the Creators put into the game on purpose, or that just happen, glitchily. Keep the pics coming in this thread. I'm looking for more. . .

I saw Dinky vs. Teddy at the Gray, in North Vegas Square. Second floor, NE corner.

Agreed. One time a companion's face became "stuck" like that, even when they were idling. It was so hilarious. It also made me wonder...where are the toothbrushes in this game? lol
...ok I think all my massive video files are done compressing. I can go back to playing instead of posting like a fiend in the forums. ;)

This can't be shown just with screens.
I don't know if this will amuse anyone else, but I took snippets from a few of my 3-companion 'charge into a deathclaw nest' runs for 50 seconds of total chaos. It's silly & w/3 companions, definitely not "legit" - it's all about poor Gannon, who the deathclaws loved to toss around like a ragdoll. But you can also see when Boone gets knocked down briefly, gets up, makes the motion that he's eating something (a buffout) and then keeps fighting. What a trooper. Raul did well too. Sorry it's a little fuzzy, YT likes to compress my nice looking 960x540 vids into mush. If I make any more it's going to be from 1920x1080. Gar.

Forcing Victor to bathe in the Colorado River . . .

Actually, the story is I met Victor on the road near the river. After chatting he said he was off to The Strip. He rolled down to the docks along the river and was attacked and killed (!!) by Lakelurks. I thought that would ruin my game so I reloaded and sniped the lurks to save Vic (after several tries). I then decided to follow him to see what would happened. He rolled into the river and tried to 'swim' to Vegas. I wish I had a video of that and not just the screen shot.

Victor did actually get killed by the lurkes in my currant game...
I didn't bother to reload being somewhat curious how they'd handle that - true enough on entering the Stripp - there was Victor's face on one of the Police Securitrons... i had the option to ask him 'had he not been killed' (me looting the corpse of cause *g*) - all he said was that he just took another body because it would be stupid to rely on just one...
Later on (when speaking with Mr. House for the first time) the Robot was actually called Victor again.

Now that was a lllloooooonnnngggg blackjack game. . .

About Victor from my previous post: I've heard elsewhere that he/she/it is capable of reincarnation into other 'bots. Question is, what is the physics (metaphysics?) and lore behind that ability. (I know it's just a game, but the Creators must have wondered what we would think of that, no?)

Its just an AI with a sort of Hivemind ability I think.

Or a AI Personality built into all the Securitrons that can be activated only one at a time.

http://crimsonkeep.com/wallpapers/data/media/33/falloutNV-342.jpg -- I usually turn it & Bloom off 1st thing because I don't like the super-shiny-glow, and most other games I've played it didn't seem to make a big difference other than that. But in NV I guess it does. :P

its probably data that can easily upload to other securitrons. seeing as it takes 3 days for yes man to respawn (zap to another robot)

How do you guys change the size of your Chars?
I'd like my girl to be a bit smaller especially since she's got small frame and it looks kind of silly on the screenshots.
Also - how do you get more than one companion?

Mods. For multi-companions I use one that I linked to in the 5th post of this thread. For size, you can do that yourself easily with the GECK editor.

For the player character, need to find:
Actors/NPC/Player
Actors/NPC/PlayerFemale

Change the height number for both from 0.0000 to something else. It can be in small increments, eg. in my screenshot she's .9200, Gannon's 1.0300 (his actual default), Boone's 1.0500 and Raul is the common default 0.0000. Smaller than .5-.6 is not recommended because of clipping & other issues and taller than 3ish (don't recall exactly) is bad for indoors so use caution w/the bigger numbers. I think 10 is max (nearly as tall as the Novac dino) which is fun for laughs but not good otherwise. There are also 'console' commands on pc to change player height as well, the wiki probably lists them, but I prefer the mod way since I also change companion heights & I can wrap it all into one mod file. To change companion heights you need to look under Actors/NPC/(their race category) then find their name.

Thanks a lot and sorry for not reading well enough to find the fifth post of my own

Make sure it's the right one, too. I accidentally downloaded the FO3 one from the Geck link which doesn't work on NV...the NVE one is from the downloads then clicking on the Geck graphic on the sidebar. :D
And yeah....the basic settings/etc. stuff isn't too hard to learn/alter, but the rest I leave to people with more time/energy. hehe

In console (~) type: SetSize 1.0 (or any othe rnumber), where 1.0 is normal size and 0.1 is friggin' tiny. I think you're looking for somewhere around 0.9. You can also make your character HUGE, but I don't recommend it.

Obviously, in my version of the Deputy Beagle event with his head stuck in the ceiling, I couldn't talk to him to end his quest. So I reloaded and saved his irritating butt a second time. This time, I took all his inventory including his clothes. Now he is walking around Primm in his smallclothes. I wonder how he keeps that gun attached to his hip.

So say "hey there, yourself, big fella".

Each screenshot is given a name by the program - screenshot01.bmp, screenshot02.bmp, etc. The files are stored in the following folder . . .

I'm using Vista, so the location of my screenshots is

c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas

Yours should be in a very similar location (except on your computer, not mine).

Was wandering around hunting fiends, and saw something floating off in the distance. Went to investigate... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/bucfanpaka/other%20stuff/cookcook2.jpg I had killed him a long time back in game time, so I guess this will be floating there forever. When you take the heads for a bounty, it seems they actually explode. Ah well, no sympathy for the rapist pyro... :flamethrower:

This was my favorite glitch, though... Cass decided to morph with a deathclaw or something- :ooo: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v57/bucfanpaka/other%20stuff/deathcass.jpg

I love the Cook-Cook pole decoration.

As for changing the character size, the "asian portrait style" image I posted in the last page surprised me because it showed my character to be much smaller than Boone. I guess I'm so used to seeing her in body armor that out of it she seems tiny to begin with.

LOL @ the Cook-Cook remains shot. The funky hands are funny too. It's not fair, I don't get many weird/glitchy graphics things like that in my game. The worst I see is the stuck in the ground, flickering radscorpions.

Did you alter her height at all or is that just the way they are for you? Even tho I think they're supposed to be largely equal, in my game most humans (includ. Boone) feel a tiny bit shorter than my player character even on level ground. I'm under 5 feet tall in real life (hubby's a bit over 6 feet) and it felt completely unnatural to be eye-level or looking down on people. I know it's a game but gar! lol :D
