I'm aware of the character-screenshot and the mod-screenshot threads but couldn't find a 'general/funny screenshot' type thread. If there is one that I missed, please merge. I put this in spoilers because sometimes even general screens can spoil something for someone.

Even in the day of video, I love screenshots. But I find it hard to take good combat pics in this game because of the 1st person & fast (non-Vats) combat, so mostly you seem to end up with ones of your companions rather than your own character, or ones just showing a monster running straight into your face. Still once in a while you get one, and there's always the misc & "funnies."

With a few stimpacks and fast backpedaling I did survive, but only because Boone was able to kill half while they wailed on poor Arcade-bait. I got the other half tho, including the Alpha, no VATS. Teamwork! (edit:going thru my too-many vid files realized I did use vats in that one. The empty AP bar should've been my clue. Sometimes I hit it as a total panic button take my 2-3 shots & then forget I used it. Don't want to be accused of purposely lying, lol. )

When you're walking/sneaking to Novac/Vegas at clvl-1, using merchants & patrols as escorts works well.

Shooting cave geckos from on high, Arcade tried to get closer range like always, & stupidly stepped off the ledge to fall below, forcing my lazy self to unholster my weapon to help him.

I love the one with Arcade cluelessly standing by while a deathclaw takes a swipe at his head. I also love the party-Boone picture. The last picture proves that Boone isn't bald after all, he just has peach fuzz.

For combat stuff I often cheat by grabbing stills from my recorded videos.


It's a multi-companion mod. The most popular/well known one of those lets you hire all companions at once willy nilly, but the http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36949 bases the number you can have on your charisma, which I like better from a roleplaying perspective. Makes that stat actually mean something. I have 7 charisma so I can have 3 human & both non-human followers. Works great outdoors, but more than 3 at a time can be a pain in some Vaults/indoor areas.

I am fairly new to the game. Can someone tell me how to rotate the camera and capture a pic of my character from the front? Thanks guys.

On the PC it's tap the F key to change view to 3rd person, then hold it down while turning the mouse. Then tap it again to return to 1st. (at least, it's the F key for me. Can't remember if I re-keyed it or not... :blush: ..but that's the idea...)

Or if you in 1st person press f and pull the camera out abit. Then you press "~" (console) key and type 'tfc' and 'tm' without the quotes. You can now move the camera with the arrows or wsas keys without moving your character. To get out off it go to console type tfc and tm and back to normal.

thats gota be alot of nails they need to eat and imagine all the napalm they make

Here's three screenshots, 2 of my current character and one of my previous character. The silenced carbine is from "1st recon ranger gear", the backpacks from "Atomic Mods_backpacks. All else is original game assets. The armor is the NCR Mantle armor, the Hood on the explorer pic is a slave hood.

This overlook is just south of the Primm Pass, as it exits East. The dome is the REPCON instillation. One can see the path (a lighter color) spiraling up and around the hill. From here, one can see the NCR prison, Primm, Nipton, Searchlight, and several other landmarks.
