That means it has nothing to do with the greenhouse but it's something else. I'm glad I do not have this problem. I moved all my important stuff in lakeview manor. If it was starting to freeze like this I would... be very angry.

I was getting this bug too with a configuration of Greenhouse, Armory, and Storage. I restarted the game because honestly, it would have been just as big a pain to go digging through my saves. Built a new house this time with the Enchanting tower in place of the green house, but I also did something different. Instead I focused on every room individually and once each addition was fully furnished, I went outside to the drafting table and removed the carpenter's benches. Fully furnished and no freezing... though I am debating going back a few saves just to see if I would still get the freeze up with the fully furnished greenhouse.

So try to get outside your house and remove some workbenches, see if that helps.

I'm having the same issue.

Falkreath home. I have the greenhouse, trophy room and kitchen for my wings as well as the cellar with my armory.

Honestly, the greenhouse was the first wing I constructed and I never had this problem until recently. I fully furnished it last night but was able to enter and exit the house without issue aside from the occasional general freezing that seems to be common after downloading the DLC. This glitch appeared after I adopted my first child and became Thane. Now, I'm perpetually stuck in the entry landing every time I try to reload and the game freezes as soon as my adopted child crosses the threshold from the main hall to the entry hall.

Really irritating as it is pretty much a game breaking bug for me at the moment and I cannot progress any further into the game without releading a much older save. :(

I will also note that I've tried clearing out the cache on my Xbox, and when the game freezes, it freezes the entire Xbox so I have to manually restart everything.

I have two Lakeview Manors (two characters) with no freezing at either. Skyrim is installed to the hard drive, all autosaving is off and it is the old original Xbox 360.

Braggen - bedrooms, storage, library (entryway and cellar) (housecarl, steward, bard, cow, horse, 3 chickens, coach and all outside fixtures)

Aussie - greenhouse, alchemy tower, kitchen (entryway and cellar) (housecarl, steward, daughter, bard, 2 chickens, coach, horse, cow and all outside fixtures)

Outside at the second house the game will stutter occasionally when she first gets there , almost like it is trying to load something, but that is the only thing unusual, that character will hardly get any attacks, so it is wasting its time thinking about it if that is what it is doing. The first house is missing half the stuff in the cellar, but careful building would have avoided that glitch. Both houses now have some custom home decorations and a lot of stuff in them.

No bees from that greenhouse have ever been allowed to wander around the house, they are snatched up as soon as they are seen, they only ever got as far as the door. They are usually collected shortly on entering the house. Braggen had a few bees wandering around his house in another location and they never caused any problems though, but again when they were seen they were caught.

If you haven't tried these already, be sure to do the following: · Clear the system cache · Delete/reinstall the game data (if installed to HDD) · Delete/reinstall patches and all DLCs

did all those things but yup it freezes after couple seconds! can it be the minstrel?

I had already a problem with entering the house and leaving the house. the screen kept loading (had to restart the game since it just didnt go to the new area). I builded first a Armour room, then a greenhouse... so far only had the problem of the screen loading but then I builded a alchemy tower. still no problem except the loading issue.. but when I finished the the furniture then the real problem started! hmm.. could it be possible that it has problems loading all the rooms? I sure hope this will be fixed. Anywaze Ill try to go back to a 10 hour earlier save.. yeah Ill loose my hours but I rather keep playing and wait for finishing it untill gamesas releases a patch! ;-)

Merari, which house and what layout did you choose?

In my case it was the Falkreath home and I chose Greenhouse, Armory, and Trophy Room. I'm sort of suspecting maybe the armory might crash it. Too many mannequins or something? I have honestly no idea though.
I have the same lay out and at the same location and my game is freezing as soon as i enter. It aslso says i'm fighting a hagraven when there are none anywhere near me????????

Sorry about the typo. I meant also, and if this info will help, I have a bard, housecarl, horse, 2 chickens, a carrage, a cow, a wife, two kids(son and daughter), and two followers, and my house is almost fully furnished. I have no problems out side my house except for occational lagging, so should i build a new house at another location and tell my wife to move there or pray for a new update that fixes this problem?

update: okay this far! I have entrance, mainhall, cellar ( didnt build anything there yet) and the armorer room. all rooms upgraded except the cellar. No loading problems yet and no crashes as well! so far so good! so it must be a combination with the greenhouse or other rooms! or maybe if you build other rooms then the armourer might cause it. Its (atleast for me) not possible to build all rooms without the loading problem or freezing ( atleast this far).

Personally, I've never been crazy about mannequins, but ever since seeing how they behave in Honeyside (the Riften house, where mannequins come with the enchantment lab), I've actively avoided them. They move off their pedestals and give me the creeps. Honeyside locks up for a few seconds every time I enter, ever since getting the enchanter table upgrade.

My husband uses the Lakeview Manor house with the greenhouse, the storage room, and no armory, and there have been no issues so far. It might be interesting to test the armory add on with only one or two mannequins. I think I will with a new character.

Very sensible to save before you build. :) The book does a thorough enough job describing the various wing options, but you never know if something is just not going to turn out to your tastes.

maybe a weird question.. but can stored items as well give loading screen problems? I have almost in every house I own alot of items stored. alot arent needed but darn I like to collect! hehe... maybe if so I should sell some to see if the loading time changes.. and hopefully fixing some issues.. ( has nothing to do with heartfire though cos I didnt store alot there yet but still after I stored some items it started to have the loading screen prob again. right now as I said I leave it as it be cos darn so many missions still to compleet and im up for some fun adventures in skyrim..

I just ran into freezing problems when I put a lot of armor on mannequins and weapons on display. I'm guessing this contributes to it since I remember on another character that I had living in Riften, the game would lag for a moment upon entering the house while their was armor on display in the mannequins in the basemant. After reloading an earlier save to before I went mannequin crazy, everything seems to be working fine. I also removed all of the carpenter benches still in the house before entering. This was for the Falkreath house.

So a little update: Since removing all of the workbenches, I have yet to have any freezes. So my best suggestion would be focus on each section of the house, get it fully furnished, and then go outside to the drafting table and remove the work bench in those areas. Then build another wing and repeat. I am going to try again at Lakeview with the green house and see if it helps, will post when I get to it if it still works.

I also am getting freezes in my Falkwreath home. When ever I enter, leave or fasttravel to the home. I suspect it is the never appearing giant that is causing the problem. I can hear him but can never see him. Either he is invisible or glitched under the house or hill. I also suspect him of killing my chickens.

The game now freezes about 5 seconds after entering Lakeview Manor, and I have to switch off the Xbox.

I've just adopted a daughter, the girl from Whiterun, and this is the first time I've gone back to the house since adopting. Maybe this has something to do with it? No freezes before this.

I can isolate when the game is freezing for me. It happens when my daughter (Lucia) walks from the main hall into the entrance room of the house. As she goes through that doorway - bam - the game freezes. Every time.

Come on Beth developers, there's something to try to replicate, and then fix.

Just as a heads up I re-built my home in Falkreath without either the green house or the armory and it works fine now, svcks that I cannot have either but I was able to add both to one of the other houses.

I think this is more likely going to end up that we need a bit of practice before working out how to build a glitch free house. Yes concentrating on one area is best, as is doing that one area in one go once you have everything you need. You stop and start or go wandering off and starting another area, things are probably going to go wrong, especially with how the inhouse workbenches reset.
