Getting freezes in my fully built home

Post » Thu Nov 15, 2012 10:56 am

I'm starting to encounter freezes inside my home now that it's fully constructed and furnished that are forcing me to power off and reload earlier saves. Anyone else?

Froze again. I may have to start all over from back from before I built the house, but I'm worried I'll just run into the same thing again.

Same thing here.
One of those nasty freezes too, where the xbox wont shut off.

Merari, which house and what layout did you choose?

In my case it was the Falkreath home and I chose Greenhouse, Armory, and Trophy Room. I'm sort of suspecting maybe the armory might crash it. Too many mannequins or something? I have honestly no idea though.

I have the Falkreath one and Greenhouse, Trophy room and Library.

I have the Falkreath once and Greenhouse, Trophy room and Library.

Well, at least we can rule out the Armory and the Library as the problem.

In any case, I started over and I've got the Trophy Room, Bedrooms, Kitchen configuration. No problems at the moment except for the horribly bugged carpenter tables.

There's several other threads about the game freezing since HF was installed, and bards seem to be getting the blame for this.

Do you lads have a bard, by any chance? If so, try firing him and go outside until he's gone, and see if that fixes the issue.

I keep freezing, I have the Armory, Trophy Room, and Greenhouse in the Falkreath. Freeze like 5 seconds after I enter the Main Hall.

Oh I hope I don't have to refer back to a save hours ago....

EDIT: I kept restarting Xbox, and emptying system cache, still doesn't work.

That could very well be it. I still haven't encountered any freezes since my do-over.

I have this configuration and no bard....game still crashes...I've cleared the cache and even restarted from scratch...still locks up 100% of the time within 10 seconds of entering lakeview...I have no other properties at this point.

If you haven't tried these already, be sure to do the following:

· Clear the system cache
· Delete/reinstall the game data (if installed to HDD)
· Delete/reinstall patches and all DLCs

Gstaff,i did all of this thing.still freezes.
But after a lot of testing i can say that whenever i place a fully furnished greenhouse at lakeview manor, the game start to freeze. The game never freezes,as long as i don't build a furnish the greenhouse. all of this was tested a lot of times at Lakeview manor.

I went the same way and built the trophy room, armory, and green house and every time I try to hire a steward the game freezes. I got the wife to move in without any issues but every time I walk in with someone that I want as my steward the game freezes the second we enter the main hall  I'm restarting later tonight and building without a green house to see if that makes a difference, I've tried dumping the system cache several times already with no change so I'll post if it works without building a green house. Just one question..... Can you hire a steward at any point or should I hire steward as soon as possible ? I have enough coin to build on my own without the help of a steward but I do need one for live stock, horse carriage.

I have the Lakeveiw house and am encounterring the same issue...although it doesn't freeze all the time. I find it helps if i stand still a minute or two upon entering the house and let all of the items load.

I've tried that but it still freezes every time I walk past the main hall dining table, I even tried telling the follower to walk in on their own which still has the same effect, freezing

I have the Greenhouse, Alchemy tower and armory. Everything was fine until I added the Greenhouse. I am gonna get rid of it and see if it helps

See you have the green house as well, it's the one common factor with everyone that's having crashing issues ( freezing ) so I think it would be wise to get rid of the green house and pick something else as you said.

My console hard-freezes now, each time I enter Lakeview Manor. Four consecutive locks today, twice at each door. Once or twice before fully furnishing the place, it froze but came back to life, but no longer. I also have the Greenhouse, Armory, and the north Tower. No bard or anyone in fact, except wife Senna.

If I can't get inside to rescue her from this Daedric world-freezing bug demon, I'm going to go back up to the College of Winterhold's broken, still-unstarting Containment questline and off myself right next to Savos Aren's lifeless body that everyone walks so nonchalantly past.

Yea...mine is freezing now evertime. I restarted the xbox about 4 times...but it's still freezing. I do not have a greenhouse....i have the armory...trophy room and bedroom...i just adopted the kids and i think it has something to do with them being in the house.

I hate to be the party crasher but I never had a freeze in my fully built lakeview manor and I DO have a greenhouse. The other wings are an alchemy lab and the library, and I moved all my stuff in that house so it's litterally crammed of items. I am still experiencing freezes from time to time while playing but it never happened at one of my houses.

I tried clearing the cache, then deleting, then reinstalling all DLC and title updates ... no change. I have two save-games just outside Lakeview Manor; each time I enter, it goes through the load screen, then shows my character inside with an autosave ... then freezes before releasing control. I've waited as long as 60-90 secs after the freeze, but it never comes back. The music stops, activity stops, and the controller is unresponsive.

When i get near the vicinity of my house in Falkreath, i get crazy FPS drops to the point of almost crashing. I now also have insane loading times, half of them are stuck on an infinite loading screen or crash on the loading screen which means you cannot shut off your Xbox, and this has happened several times now =/ loading times have almost doubled if not tripled for me. I have cleared game cache, hdd cache, deleted and reinstalled; no change to these problems.

Quite the rushed and unstable DLC... Learn to quality control, we are paying customers, not beta testers.
