For me completing the Companions quest *Blood Honor* totally killed the quest line upon returning to Whiterun, Aela the hunteress simply stands there at the top of the main steps swaying side to side with sword drawn saying "These two won't cause a problem anymore" while looking at two dead Silverhand bodies lying on the floor, another Companion dude stood outside near her repeatedly saying something about being attacked which he says over and over again I can't remember at this moment in time exactly what but that is not the problem I merely am setting the scene, its the part where Vilkas either walks around the main hall in Jorrvaskr or does his previous walks inside Jorrvaskr or just outside where the benches are where the Companions eat with no new dialogue available in either of those locations opening up the next part of the quest. In the official guide it says and I quote "Vilkas wishes to immediately depart for the Silver Hand stronghold of Driftshade Refuge and accompanies you as a Shield-Brother.... oh how I wish he would and unlock the next quest line *Purity Of Revenge*. I gained up to level 19 last Saturday and spent the rest of the day also further days looking up bugs on the game to at least give me some kind of indication of what to expect in the future, ok I am honest that my mistake was not having gamesaves far enough back to open up the option of loading up a previous game save that may have fixed this problem, in all honesty while playing both Morrowind and Oblivion I have not needed to go backwards and the point of playing RPG's is to move forward on the path of progression not backwards.
Other bugs include - placing notes in a bookcase in the house in Whiterun, come to read them at a later date and part or all text missing...
House decorating in Whiterun - after spending ages placing weapons or items on tables ect I go off to do another quest come back to the house and the place looks like it has been ransacked...
Cast a fireball spell at a dead dragon and watch it fly in the air land and start to shake... even had one dragon which I previously killed and reduced to a skellington that landed in the main street in Riiverwood, grow back its skin which i sadly could not re loot, that too was shaking...
Skyrim has sweet graphics and great sound but really what is the point if the game is not playable.. gutted is just about the only word i can think of right now. My son is supposed to be getting Skyrim this coming Christmas day, what kind of review can I honestly give him... have a list of game saves the length of his arm and keep his fingers crossed glitches/bugs don't reappear, I so do want to play Skyrim but worried of placing xx amount of hours only to hit another serious quest killing glitch/bug, if they were fixed before game release its obvious what I would be doing right now... am I complaining or do I have relavant points of view, I will let you decide
