You shouldn't think too much of it. At an informal gathering at our school, one of the speakers constantly called it the Large Hydrogen Collider.

As far as I understand it, it isn't confirmed that they've discovered the "God particle" but they are still working on ensuring that it is. Seems likely that they have, based upon the measurements they got though.

It's basically the particle that everything else came from. It's where matter gets its mass from. It helps us to understand the origin of and evolution of the universe.

But vometia the moon is cheese and don't you ever listen to that science lot, they are lying! If wallace and gromit taught me anything it is that the moon is cheese. Fact. ^_^

This is intresting news though. I like it when sciency things happen because it makes me wonder what new things we will discover in the next 10 years. It's like when you go back and look at Tomorrow's World and see what they said. Now in the 'future' you can laugh at some of the ideas.

Science as in finding the "God Particle" The Big Bang, Evolution etc. I don't believe in. I have no problem with technology.

The God particle is a mislable to be honest, it is really just the actual reason for mass. I'm sure you believe in that?

And if evolution isn't real, how come bacteria can develop resistance to poisons and we can "regress" corn by selecting the weakest strains?
