good race to roleplay a thief?

Why?

Because races are very diverse in TES,or are supposed to be.
Orcs have been trained since child birth to learn about heavy armor, its in ther blood.
Like wise with Bosmer, they have beeb trained there whole lives in archery and stealth.

Should an orc that has been trained his/her entire life be suddenly able to learn how to sneak and use a bow.

I suppose with a good backstory this could easily be done.
But for the majority of Orcs this would not work.

I'm going way off topic here but I think there are other ways of adding to the just +5 heavy armor racial bonuses.
My thinking is that they could put a cap on certain skills or better yet just slow the level progression of certain skills. This would allow for good starting skills to be more usefull in the game.

But you are right it makes no difference in this game.

Those damn apothecaries in Orc settlement should be burnt at the stake for being Altmer/Breton like?

Role play it however you want. Heck.. you could be an Orc thief if you had a cool back story you made up.

I've been tempted to play a wood elf in Skyrim, as in Oblivion they were.... Annoying.

Orcs are actually known for having some use magic (like a shaman). And notice all those apothecaries are all women; wives of chiefs.

Go with your heart bro. If you really want to a race you can love and cherish... look up the lore on them. Learn parts of their language. Immerse yourself in their culture. But, for thiefs...

Bosmer - Excellent archers, known for their curious, mischevious nature
Khajjit - What most consider THE thief race. Sneaky felines, trade drugs around, what's not to love?
Argonians - As a beast race, generaly distrusted, more defensive then the previous two

I think the Dunmer and Imperials are good candidates as well.

Of course not,I love those Orc strongholds and there apothecaries.
But I haven't seen any of the Orc stronghold citizens skulking about in stealth.
I see several training there one or two handed weapons,or working the forges like they were taught to do.

There is only one apothecary in each stronghold, where the eldest Orc women is the alchemist there.
I think this is because of the specialized training,or possibly background story they have,is why they have risen to there special place.

Even Orcs with all there bravery need healing and such.

Edit:By the way Orcs do have possibly the best racial power in this game, good for offense or deffense.

Khajiiti are thee thief race and Bosmeri for thief/assassin elves.

Other than that, race doesn't matter when we reach a certain level.

Each race should've had something more unique to them, as in a special attribute that gives them a significant advantage.
