Pull the plug now and start over. This is not what your fans want or what they have been waiting for. This is an insult.

This is not TES! TES IS BETTER THAN THAT!!!

It doesn't matter. There are theads like this all over gaming communities and websites. Bethesda can delete all they want, but players will be heard.
Who cares if any of you are heard. You're a subset of a subset of gamers; you literally make up an absolutely miniscule part of Bethesda's target audience on this, why the hell would they care what any of you, I or anyone else here thinks?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not losing my rag or getting emotional like many here tend to do, I'm just attempting to push the point home that you can discuss all you like, but nobody's listening, unless it agrees with something they already think.

I don't follow.. But if they ignored everything their forum-users said, and continued to make high selling games, then yeah, it's that all over again.

I believe he's refering to how so many fans got on their site, and ragerageragerage'd all over the place. Like they were going to make a difference.

"But they did!"

No, they really didn't. BW didn't do it because they "care", they saw a chance to make more money. Even if they did, adding a DLC ending to a game is a little bit different than scrapping a game that's been in development for years because you don't like it. Just a little.

I'm going to cite pc-neckbeard-master-race on this one... I think bethesda is listening. call us a council of elders. I'm not alone in having been playing games since atari.

Pretty sure that DLC is free, as they've stated

But my main point is how this board is quickly turning into BSN due to sheer amount of "BLARGH" going on in the forums here, and we all know how DA2 and ME3 were received on BSN... kinda speaks something about TES:O and Bethesda forums doesn't it?

Was it? Huh, I don't follow EA/BW, so I wouldn't really know. At least they had the decency to do that.

Yeah, come back to me and hit on that point when TES:O is 5-6 months after release.

Sorry, can't hear you over the sound of Halo Reach selling well despite people moaning pre- and post-beta.

Also can't hear you over the sound of Call of Duty: Black Ops and Modern Warfare 3 selling well despite people moaning that it was "the same thing" over and over again.

How stupid are these people? No one wants yet another fantasy MMO with tank-healer-dps fighting raids. No one wants stupid stylized cartoony graphics for the lowest common denominator. We didn't build beastly gaming PC's because we want to play games that look like xbox 1 level graphics.

You are going to flush your flagship franchise directly down the crapper. Way to go.

Didn't you buy Skyrim? Because the textures there were, well, abysmal.

I think I might completely give up the Elder Scrolls single-player games because of how the community reacts with such ignorance.

lmao

I know you and I have had a couple heated arguments in the Skyrim forums, but I totally agree with you in regards to the outrage on these forums.

"Insult"? "Outrage"? Really? Talk about over reaction people. IT IS A VIDEO GAME THAT YOU, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, ARE FORCED TO BUY, SUBSCRIBE TO, OR PLAY!!! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, AVOID IT!!

All this talk of being "insulted" and "outraged" is absolutely ridiculous.

Never bough Halo: Reach, MW3, or Black Ops, and are you actually advocating that this route that said games have taken is actually a good thing?

You mean... the same route Mario, Final Fantasy, Zelda, Metroid, Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot, etc, etc all took before it?

You mean relying on what works? Making adjustments or additions on top of what works? Knowing what their fan base like? Trying to maintain a sect of long time fans as well as new fans? Every now and then trying something completely new to see if it works?

Yeah, those are good things.

I dislike the direction Skyrim took because I personally don't like it.

But trying new things and building a larger audience is what keeps the industry going. So [censored] yes I'm for it.

Fans of Elder Scrolls have every right to be outraged when a company they have come to trust puts the name on a game that does not remotely resemble what they have come to expect.

The fact is, the lack of features resembling original Elder Scrolls is game breaking. If development direction isn't shifted immediately and the game is released as planned next year, it will be a financial failure for the company and rightfully so.
