Gotta admit, Chaos damage is awesome.

I know how sad the March of the Dead quest was for some, but the chaos enchantment you get from the imperial's warhammer(at least for me) is amazing!

You can save that uniue warhammer and just buy a cheap weapon from the smithy in raven rock with the chaos enchant for disenchanting.

Haven't used it, but yes, it is a rather nifty enchantment. Looking forward to utilising it at a later date.

It gives a percentile chance for your weapon to possibly do Fire, Lightning, and Frost damage per hit. IIRC from the wording in-game, each elemental effect gets it's own percentile chance.

So per hit, you could have all three go off on your opponent, or may be only just two or one of the effects.

A little bit random, but a whole lotta awesome!

I've waited 3 months in game and still nothing. I like the hammer but it's getting more temping to disenchant it.

Stick the enchantment on a bow. It's entertaining, and every shot is like a new box of chocolates...

Isn't it, though? Its especially yummy when you get all three kinds o' chocolates at once! Yummy for me, not so much for my imperial victims...

No, its similar though. I believe it has a 50 percent chance to absorb health magicka and stamina. Thats 50 percent separately for each of these. Sadly not disenchantable.

So this hammer can be dis-enchanted, and the enchantments can be put on a bow?? Is this correct?

Yes, but I wouldn't disenchant that hammer. The blacksmith in raven rock occasionally sells swords and such with the enchantment. I dont know about other vendors though, but I wouldn't doubt it.

Well, considering I have 2 types of characters that I play, mostly sorceress's, but I do once in a while play as a nord sneaky archer, and that sounds mighty interesting.

It's definitely fun, and since your characters aren't the typical 2H beat-stick characters, I wouldn't worry too much about disenchanting the hammer. Go ahead and do it in my opinion. Unless you're a stickler for collecting unique weapons and armors that is. :)

Also check the smith at the skaal village. That is where I bought a Stalrim battle axe of high chaos. It wasn't cheap but worth the enchantment.

Thanks alot for the info Uriel. I keep some of the unique weapons, the ones that interest the character that I am playing, but later today, I will try that. Thanks again.

To those (like myself) not finding vendors with the Chaos enchantment, does it only appear at later levels? I'm level 67 with the guy I created for this DLC, but haven't seen vendors selling this stuff yet. Got the hammer though, it keeps teasing me from its place above the enchanters table in Severin Manor..."disenchant me!" it says....

For those who do not wish to disenchant their beloved unique hammer, there is one other item that has this.

Find the Lord of Tusks, the NOMNOMer of man and mer, hidden away from the island. Destroy the vile beast and search through the bones of the lords victims, you will find what you seek.

Spoiler
The lord of tusks is a large horker on an island to the northeast of main island, near him, quite near the chest there is a stalhrim sword with the enchantment on the ground.
