Tbh. I played it on the PS3 (My cousin is a PS3-player and she got it. I didn't). I was reminded why I disliked GTA in the first place so I have no plans of getting GTA5 for my 360 now.

Though gotta say... Do love where they are going with gameplay wise for sures.

I have to say the physics of it all are much improved. I remember playing San Andreas on PS2 and flying planes was almost like flying something on a perfect rail that would bend to your will. Now you're dealing with so much more up there that even if your characters skill is at 100 for Flying, the plane still have minor issues with environmental factors. The realism factor definitely has been upped. They did a good job in GTA4 with the cars but with no planes, it was limiting with the environment you can have dealt at you.

I did all the flying school training and got mostly gold, silver on a couple. It is damn difficult but it was fun learning. Still going to wait until next gen or PC to get the game.

@The Tallest from previous thread.

Does the Xbox have a SCART lead(s)? If so, you can plug the white and red wires into your sub-woofer if you have one (or you may need a sound adapter to plug these wires into). This works on PS3, but don't know about Xbox, but give it a shot anyway.

Unfortunately, if there's one thing I svck at in GTA, its flying.

I never got past Flight School in SA, and never beat Zero's mission either.

I svck at flying in GTA V too.

any word on the PC release date?

Usually it about a 6-9 month wait for them to port a GTA game over to the PC.. then again, there are a couple GTA games that never got a port (Liberty City stories and vice city stories)..

No word yet and considering it smashed records and became the fastest selling game ever making $1 billion in 3 days, I wouldn't expect an announcement anytime soon. They will launch GTA Online on October 1st, then DLC will be next. After that maybe.

I think they would release the PC port before they begin releasing DLC...

lets look at the facts:

GTA4 was released on Consoles late April 2008..
GTA4 was released on PC early December, 2008..
any DLC for GTA4 was not released till mid Febuary 2009.

if you are going to make a port to another platform, from a financial Standpoint it makes more sense to release the Port before DLC.. that way you have both the revenues from the Port to assist with any Development costs, and you have people on that platform buying the DLC at its launch, leading to a quicker and larger income from the DLC before people move onto "the next big title"...

I know there seems to not have been an official Announcement, but I'll estimate mid 1st Quarter 2014 at the latest.

I finally got some serious game tme in today. I just got to the point where I teamed up Franklin with Micheal. They actually make a pretty good pair.

One criticism I can make is how easy it is to be killed by the police, even in cover.

They might wait for a GotY edition with all DLC and then bring it to PC next gen. I don't see them having a second launch for PC and a third launch for next gen.

nah, would cut down on profits...

a GOTY edition usually costs as much as the base game did on launch, and as it is a GOTY edition, you don't get the profits from users purchasing DLC...

Usually (Not always, but usually) the only times we see a major Dev wait for a GOTY edition to port a game is when they have an exclusivity agreement with a Company, and have to wait for the agreement to expire before they can put it onto a competing platform...
I don't believe any Exclusivity Agreement exists with GTA5..

I'm not too impressed with GTA 5. Not enough RPG elements in it, imo. I'm probably in the minority. :)

well, GTA games aren't really RPGs....

still, at least they brought the skill proficiency thing back...

I never really thought of the GTA games as RPGs. Not sure what I would call it, but I just don't see it as a rpg.

I stole a helicopter today and flew it all the way up to that military fort on the west coast before they threatened to shoot me down lol. I tried landing in the international airport but had to abort after picking up 3 stars!!!!!

So I spent the afternoon racing and helping strangers. Gonna try golfing tomorrow!

I'd call it a "Sandbox Third Person Shooter", or "A Sandbox Action Adventure"

Black Ops 2. It made $1 billion in 16 days. GTA V did it in 3! I don't see that ever being broken.
