Guardian stones..which do u use? : V - Skyrim

If I'm playing that its my birthsign I pick 1 stone and use it the whole game. I miss birthsigns :shrug:

In that case I'd go for the Lord, Lady, Steed or Atronach depending on the character.
Usually though I just go for Warrior or Mage early on depending on the character (Thief speeds up skills that are easy to raise and that I don't want speeding ahead of my other skills anyway) then switch to 1 of the other 4 I mentioned later on.

I went with The Lover stone.

I plan to get my Nord to level 81 eventually, and the faster skill ups help.

They're called Standing Stones, FYI.

For my Dual Wielding swordsman, The Lady Stone:Increaded stamind and health regen.

For my Hunter Nord, The Lover Stone: Learn all skills 15% faster

For Nyan, The Lord Stone: +50 AR and 25%resist magick.

I've chosen the Serpent Stone, and haven't used any other stones.

I just like the idea of being able to poison people on sight. Like that one guy guarding the front of Hall of Valor.

In the past I always picked either Warrior/Mage/Thief depending on the build I wanted. But, now I kind of prefer leveling slower, so I don't pick any Stone that quickens leveling. I almsot always go with Steed now. Adds 100 to my encumberance, and no penalty to movement speed due to armor. I now can't imagine playing with any other stone.

I used the mage stone until all my mage skills were at 100 then i switched to the thief stone, or the warrior stone, depending on what iwas leveling up, cuz i have to level to 81 to get all the schools of magic mastered.

i was wondering fellow adventurers what guardian stone u use. do u stick wit the warrior thief or mage stone for fast leveling or do u go out and find a different one rite off the bat and use that one? i like to use the lover stone which grats me fast leveling for all my skills to get those perks quick.

That last thing I want is fast levelling, it levels way too fast already in the early stages, especially if you buy any training.

My Warriors always get beat up by mages so I head straight out and get the Lord Stone for extra armour and magic resist. But really it depends on the character, Necromancer goes straight for Ritual Stone, Mage for the one that regen magic faster.

My warrior/rogue has the Lover Stone.
My warrior/spellsword still has a Warrior Stone, but I'm going to get her the Steed Stone next time I play her.
My mage has the Lord Stone, because she literally can't live without it.
My thief has the Thief Stone. It's useful enough for now.

I had the theif stone until all my skills related got to almost 100, then I've switched to the serpent, but I probably will switch to the invisibility stone. Not sure

I usually start out with the Guardian stones and then move to Steed.

I use the one that increases your carry weight(Steed?),I'm a hoarder.

This. When I eventually found it. Before that, I went through a progression of them, as I found more interesting/useful sounding ones. I think I started with Ritual, then Shadow, then Lady. The other ones didn't seem good.

And I'd never pick the faster leveling ones.

Always warrior, because I`m a warrior. I still don`t like the way it`s a dumb stone in the middle of nowhere. I found another one really far away north of Winterhold which was really isolated- I think it was for Archers. First time I made a mistake and picked some mage thing, but didn`t know what to do.

The thing is this is supposed to be like your Birth Sign at the start of the game, but you have to wander around and hopefully find the stone of your choice- Which might be never if you`re unlucky.

So what `birth sign` was I before for the past 20 years or so - a Nothing?

It`s just stupid. I don`t like things that are stupid.

Yeah I'm also kind of confused with these stones. They're overpowered anyway, I'd like a mod to change them.

As a spellsword, i took warrior. Reason being- i need to boost by blade as fast as possible since it is only 1 handed and is where my damage is coming from. Picking mage would have boosted my spells but they are utilities and that would leave me in a rut.

For endgame stone- atronach. That and alterations atronach perk and vampire blood kinda.. Works

I love the atronach stone coupled with alteration atronach perk you practically don't have to worry about mages and con concentrate on archers/melee

I don't run right out and find them first off, but will usually switch to Lady, Lord or Steed stones when I find them, and then later in the game when it's hard to level your primary skills I go back to the guardian stones.
