Gundam Wing

Does anyone remember the show Gundam Wing? No one I know remembers it and that was the best anime show ever, it even tops Dragonball Z for and that is saying something because I love DBZ.

Yes I do remember it and I love it.

I remember watching it, I even have a few of the models that they made of the Gundams. It was a pretty good show, but the best anime show is Cowboy Bebop. ;)

Funnily enough, I just watched an episode of it.

As for best anime, well, I see it very differently than when I was a kid.

I remember seeing previews for Cowboy Bebop, but I never watched it i feel the anime back in those days were the best. I still have my Gundam Wing models and will never get rid of them HeavyArms is the coolest.
It is good to know I am not the only person who remembers the show.

It's good for shounen, but far from the best anime.

I've set the communications transmition beep (the one the pilots hear in their gundams) and my phone's text messege notification. It annoys so many people. Even me. But I can't bring myself to get rid of it.

That's badass.

Also I agree it is a good song, but overall the intro as a whole has more power than this song. Though if it came down to just the song, this would win. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WaNGVytwk9E

I loved Gundam Wing. Had to run the whole way home from school to catch it on Toonami.

Not my favorite Gundam series, but it got me into the models and action figures which eventually got me into most of the other series at the time, including Gundam 0080: War in the Pocket (which is my favorite). Not to mention I poured ridiculous amounts of money into said models. My go-to site (gundamshop.com) doesn't seem to exist anymore, but I still hop over to HLJ from time to time.

I liked it back in the day. The various political maneuvers and constantly shifting alliances were cool, and the mechs were awesome of course. Still, I doubt it's aged well for me. The animation was kinda' meh, and it skipped around its various subplots all too often.

I have been watching it recently and I find it just as good as back in the day when I watched it.

For those who liked Gundam Wing but don't have it on DVD, I highly recommend buying it in the near future. Bandai is leaving the US market, so who knows how much longer Gundam Wing will be available for purchase.

Good reminder, a very good one. I'll have to get on that right away.

Holy hell! 400 dollars? I can't drop that kind of cash. Used ones are still going for 200+ wtf.

Complete Operations box set, just go to amazon and be in awe at the staggering price. Or just google. I can't seem to find what makes this boxed set so damn expensive. You could easily buy the normal collections for much cheaper.

I bought it back when most anime box sets were still pricey. :meh: I don't remember how much it was exactly, but I bought it around the same time as I snagged Neon Genesis Evangelion - Perfect Collection (which was ~$120) so I doubt GW was cheap.

This is the set I have. I imagine it's a collector's thing, because I know it wasn't $400 when it was still in production.
