It all depends on what you're comfortable with. For easy repairs, take Maria. For sheer power, take a Ranger Sequoia. Or take my favorite revolver, Lucky.

i was thinking lucky but with my LMG there was never a real need for a pistol but with honest hearts i just want to limit everything i take to make room for all the new stuff.
so, in short is lucky really that great?

Well, no one has played it yet, but Lucky seems fine because of the medium power and somewhat plentiful ammo, not to mention it doesn't weigh too much. It's your call. :)

Yeah that sounds like a good plan. Because I have 9 STR, I am planning on taking these for my character:

Figaro (for small creatures)
Sniper Rifle, Silenced (for stealth killing)
Lucky (just for normal killing)
Love and Hate (in case there are casinos)
Hunting Rifle (for mid range)
Holorifle (for high-powered foes)
And a Heavy Incinerator (in case I needed to kill Joshua Graham, preferably through irony)

My current character is a pistol-monster too.

In my hot-keys I have:
- 10mm pistol (silenced)
- 12.7mm pistol (silenced)
- Lucky
- Maria
- Mysterious Magnum
- Ranger Sequoia
- That gun

I mostly use the 12.7mm, when sneaking, and that gun, when I feel like causing a loud ruckus.

well i don't really like to sneak, sometimes i'll go for one sneak attack but thats rare.
so, i think that i'm best of with ranger sequioa, brush gun, and probably chances knife.

i have decided what i'll take: chances knife, ranger sequioa, brush gun, and a few frags, just in case.
as for armor i think i'll take combat armor reinforced mk 2 w/ helmet and for casual wear i will take merc adventurer outfit and dirty pre-war business wear

The assault carbine, because in a postnuclear world a assault rifle is all i want (i know it's a carbine, but assault rifle just sounds better)

I'll just be taking the basics. Stimpacks, bottlecaps, light armor, some .308s and This Machine...and of course all the mission items that are stuck in my inventory.

You know..i'd like to take my M1 Garand(aka-This Machine), but ill be too badass with it, also it might get taken away...so i'll just use that new piece of metal we get our hands on called ".45 auto pistol".....also,when i see it in the hands in the enemy, ".45 SMG" is going to be mine, the first person i see that has that gun, is going to have a [censored] day

Now that I know we'll not have our gear stripped, I guess I can respond here. Of course, I'm not sure which of the many characters I have will make the journey, so what I take depends on who I go as. As a general principle, I will invoke the *Point Lookout Rule*. I will travel light, just the bare neccessities, so to have lots of space to pick up new toys to use and bring them home with me. Just a good light armor and general purpose weapons for most characters will do. Of course, if they go, my BOS Knight wouldn't go anywhere without her PA, just like my demolitions expert will certainly go with plenty of high explosives.
