Just because a character is good and has appeared in previous games in a series doesn't mean that character must always appear in future games.

Just like the BoS or Dogmeat, they dont always have to be there.

After what he has become in FO3 I am glad he's not going to be in New Vegas. To bad when they made FO3 they did not foresee New Vegas. This way they could have kept him out of FO3 and had him in New Vegas as his old self.

What do you mean "his old self?" He died before Fallout 2. It was a different dog in Fallout 3 that was just a reference to the original dogmeat.

I am glad Harold isn't in New Vegas. While I like the character, it would make absolutely no sense as to why he would re-appear in New Vegas from the Capital Wasteland.

I was not talking about Dogmeat I was only talking about Harold. And by "his old self" I was talking about before he became a big mutant tree stuck in Oasis. To be fair I did not say Harold in my post but the topic is about Harold not being in New Vegas.

Neither was dogmeat in fallout 2.
Even if they aren't the same dog they're still named the same and look the same.

IMHO all Blue Heeler dogs should be named "Dogmeat", hell even Max Max's heeler should retconned as "Dogmeat", because the name has just so much "win"!

Its better to just let Harold chill in DC than to bring him back and make absolutely no sense as to why hes there..
