i work at ebgames in newcastle and it is comeing in the stor 2day but my boss realy thinks that it will break like bf3 did the day befor it was coming out

If i were Todd howard, id be completely torn at the moment, id be pissed at the though of a game id spent so much time on having its street date broken, but then id be extremely happy to see that people want the street date to brake because they really really really want to play it

If I manage to talk my local EB Games into an early drop of my pre-order tomorrow evening, there'll be a dilemma.

Do I install and play Skyrim tomorrow night?
OR
Do I sit back and watch my fave TV programs, "The Slap" and "Crownies?

Tough.

I could always catch the two shows on iView later.
But hold on, When will Steam be open to unlock my Skyrim? Around 10pm to Midnight I hear.

Might as well sit back and enjoy the television.

Was in the city today (Brisbane) and had a poke around the mall to see if it had broken but it hasn't.
Always the chance it could happen tomorrow, but it's so close now I think it probably won't - the stores can wait the 1 day.

And in regards to other date-breaks... I definitely saw shops in my area (JB, EB) selling both Batman AC and Rage early =o] It does happen!

I just phoned my local small EB Games franchisee. He says to stand by my phone as moves are afoot concerning a possible early release. He would not commit to opening the shop for midnight purchasers but may do so according to what headquarters decide.

All this means is that I am none the wiser.

I spoke to EB Games on George St. this morning, dude says they are not doing a midnight release, but will be open from 8AM Friday.

Hmm, I have a 24/hr Tesco near me.. Anyone reckon if I go up there after 12 tonight I could get Skyim as "officially" it would be 11/11/11?
