Nope, i'll be grateful for whatever they make. They don't HAVE to do anything.

This. You can hardly expect Bethesda to give you an account of their actions every day. It's unreasonable, not to mention unnecessary. We're lucky that they even announced Kinect - they most certainly didn't need to.

And I'm sorry, but I'd wager a bet that you'd be among the first to complain if the DLC feels 'rushed', despite the fact that you're trying to rush Bethesda's announcement of DLC.

Ah, words spoken in haste.

Kinect support drops tomorrow along with DLC info... (more excited about the latter tbh).

So... there you go, now behold as 50 bazillion other people tell you the same thing just to rub it in lol.

No, it's not, he's ungrateful, he purchased the game, he didn't pay for them to continue development of DLC, yet he demands more.
Oh, so the DLC is going to be free, then? Awesome. I bought both expansions for TES:III and all the DLC for TES:IV and none of those were free. What a refreshing change.

Hey, everybody. overusednames has just informed me that all the Skyrim DLC is going to be FREE!

Bethesda specifically said they had a surprise for Skyrim fans this month, which at this point, looks like it was just Kinect.

Let's get real here: That announcement was purposefully made as a publicity stunt for Dishonored. They knew that announcement would have every Skyrim fan and gaming journalist watching their blog, and ta-da: now everybody knows about Dishonored. They basically blew the Kinect thing out of proportion just to give Dishonored publicity.

Dude has a right to be annoyed. If they promise an announcement, then he deserves one, whether he paid for it or not. When it turns out to be Kinect, I think it's reasonable that he's disappointed, considering only a third of the population can use Kinect.

The other thing that's getting people frustrated is simply, now we're to a point where the pressure is on. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas both delivered DLCs about...every 2-4 months? New Vegas, iirc, was October release for the game, December/January release for Dead Money (X-box had december), Honest Hearts had May, Old World Blues had July and Lonesome Road had September.
Well now we're almost half a year after release. Two DLCs for FO3 or NV could've been released within this time. Not saying that means they need to hurry up; take their time if they feel they need to, but yeah, I AM saying pressure's on now. If the first DLC is disappointingly small or something, then yeah people will be ticked.

Seriously, dude. What cracks me up is you spend a lot of time on this forum complaining about the game... now you're complaining because the DLC isn't coming out fast enough. LOL. You guys crack me up.

This is so typical. People really want to support the whole ripoff and low quality DLC thing? Have patience. Good content takes time to make. Do you really want to waste your money on crappy DLC that adds like 2 hours of content or something that takes longer and adds 30 hours of content?

You also have to think that BGS had to work on multiple patches to the game because they released it when it was not ready to be shipped. This very likely slowed down the development of any DLC. Technically thy gave us free DLC already through the patches which actually had new content like new killcams and such. Who knows maybe we will get a shivering isles size DLC.

Not troubled by the delay in the least, myself. It will be ready when it's ready.

Poor choice of words. Gratefulness would only apply if Skyrim had been free and it wasn't. Grateful is for children and dogs, not economic transactions.

And everyone here got exactly what they paid for...

Nobody has paid for DLC, thus, nobody is entitled to it.

Well then, I guess the rest of us had a right to be annoyed when Bethesda announced the CK back in January... right???

RIGHT??? RIGHT???

I mean, only "a third of the population" can use it, according to your logic. Therefore, Bethesda should not have made an announcement about the Construction Kit, cuz hey, the rest of us are left out of that.

Give me a freaking break.

Bethesda promised an announcement, and you got it. Just because you don't like the announcement doesn't mean Bethesda didn't hold up their end of the deal. Holy crap.

Pete: "Release some info about the DLC the day after this dude makes a topic about it? Damn we're cool, Todd."

Todd: "I agree Pete, we are very cool."

Pete: "More coffee, Todd?"

Todd: "Don't mind if I do, Pete, don't mind if I do."

Right. He hasn't paid for it, it isn't free, he's not being ungrateful. Ungrateful would only apply if he were complaining about free content. Complaining about a commercial product is every consumers right.

Complaining about a commercial product is every consumers right.

Only if that complaint is legitimate.

In this case... it's not.
He's complaining about a product he has not consumed... "rights" do not come into it.

The DLC he complains about does not exist, he has not paid anything for it... ergo there is nothing to complain about.
He paid for the game Skyrim as it stands, received his product, he evidently has no problems with that product.

DLC packs are completely separate products.

Any further products being released under the Skyrim brand is at Bethesdas discretion, they don't have to release any DLC at all, he still got what he paid for.

Go into a shop and complain about a pair of shoes you haven't bought, a pair of shoes that don't even exist yet.... see how well your "right to complain" is received.

It's entitled whining and nothing more, it's also irrelevant as the product in question is being announced in a matter of hours so lets all just chill out and be happy we're getting more Skyrim products should we wish to purchase them hmm?

If we are not satisfied with the product after we purchase it... then and only then do we have a "right" to complain.

This.

It's bad enough people are gonna whine and cry after the DLC releases because it won't be Morrowind, but can we at least wait until it's out to complain?

Funny, I don't recall paying for Fighter's Stronghold. :whistling: Come to think of it, I don't recall paying for Siege at Firemoth, Helm of Tohan, Master Index, or any other TES:III DLC. Not so much a refreshing change as a return to better times, eh? (In terms of DLC policy. I don't want to go back to the pre-Skyrim times. You can't make me!)

Not me. It's already known they are working on DLC and that the DLC and or expansion will have more content than Oblivion's DLC and or expansions. Hopefully they are taking their time to add as much as they can and polish it up good. I'm willing to wait another 6 months if it adds another 100 some hours of fun game time on top of my already 200+ hours.

Yeah to me, more hours of gameplay is not a necessity especially with all of these great quest mods running all over the place. I'll take features over more gameplay. Features are your best friend.

Because he is complaining, and acting entitled to information and completion of a product he has not paid to receive. Bethesda has no obligation to him, or anyone else, to announce, inform, or release anything, yet he is acting as though they do.

I don't recall applying that label to him, grateful is for children and dogs not economic transactions.

Just pointing out that while your statement on the consumers right to complain was correct... it doesn't apply to the OP in this case, that is all.
As a consumer, what legislation gives him the "right" to complain about a product he has by your own admission "not bought, paid for, nor received?"
A product that at time of writing does not even exist!

None... Consumer rights only apply to products which exist and transactions that have occurred, so all he is doing is whining that he wants something he has no legitimate entitlement to and the provision of which is entirely at the discretion of Bethesda who are under no obligation to provide any further products to him.
So the "consumers right to complain" argument holds zero weight as a defense for OP, sorry, he's just a whiner. :/

All that said, you have to admit, the unfortunate timing of his post was pretty amusing.

Finally get on another computer to see that nothing new has happened. At all.

No DLC news, no update news, no nothing. Not even Kinect news? Hell you annnounced it like 3 weeks ago and I'm sick of seeing all these ads for it on the Marketplace that just lead me to that video.

It's like saying "Hey, Skyrim will have Kinect! But you have to wait months before you can even use it.. In the meantime we'll leave this here.."

You guys had better be working on DLC (at least) if not Fallout 4. What is seriously going on over in that studio of yours?

So many people who just came out with games already have at least 2 DLCs under there belt. It's coming up on Month 7 and no little as a peep from them?

Who agrees here?

You seem to think that you are entitled to something. You're not. You're entitled to a product that is fit for purpouse. Anything else is just a bonus. So stop thinking Bethesda has to inform you about everything. Because they doesnt.

This is an off -topic post just to let you all know I personally don't give a damn whether the use of the word 'ungrateful' is appropriate or not, and I have a sneaking suspicion I am not alone in this.

Now for an on-topic post : Fallout 3 released October 2008, Operation anchorage released January 2009, but let's face it, that's a linear shooter, not the type, or scope, of add on most of us would want for Skyrim.
