Haven't had internet for 2 weeks.. and...

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 11:11 am

Finally get on another computer to see that nothing new has happened. At all.

No DLC news, no update news, no nothing. Not even Kinect news? Hell you annnounced it like 3 weeks ago and I'm sick of seeing all these ads for it on the Marketplace that just lead me to that video.

It's like saying "Hey, Skyrim will have Kinect! But you have to wait months before you can even use it.. In the meantime we'll leave this here.."

You guys had better be working on DLC (at least) if not Fallout 4. What is seriously going on over in that studio of yours?

So many people who just came out with games already have at least 2 DLCs under there belt. It's coming up on Month 7 and no little as a peep from them?

Who agrees here?

You're really ungrateful aren't you?
DLC takes quite a long time to make, that need to come up with a setting, story and additions to the game, plus you've only been gone two weeks, that's not long.

Not me. It's already known they are working on DLC and that the DLC and or expansion will have more content than Oblivion's DLC and or expansions. Hopefully they are taking their time to add as much as they can and polish it up good. I'm willing to wait another 6 months if it adds another 100 some hours of fun game time on top of my already 200+ hours.

I always have to say, companies who put out dlc really early already had it made, and stiffed you, or charged you 800MSP or whatever the hell for a few multiplayer maps, and stiffed you. While some news on updates and patches wouldn't hurt, a decent expansion that is actually worth the money, and isn't merely an unlock code for what's on the launch disc, takes time, and imho, the more time the better. Talk to us, sort out patches/fixes, but for god's sake don't rush new content.

This coming from someone with a pic/signature like that? And technically it'd be 2011 bro, not 12.

Anyway, I just remember everyone getting hyped on that pic from Twitter which turned into Dishonored. Can we at least get a hint/nudge at DLC? A name.. a locale? Something...

I have several friends who play this game and are very close to getting rid of it just because of this. Because theres no word on DLC they think there will never be.. (which I told them otherwise) DLC for this game.

Having no problems finding stuff to do.. there's still alot after my 300+ hrs.. I just want something NEW now. And if we really have to wait a year after release then that's just poor studio management. NOT us being ungrateful. You'd think with the near 40 Million they made off Skyrim this would've been done by now.

Since they are still making content for Skyrim it's 2012 bro

And it may be a R.I.P for the single player ES games if the company decides they don't want to compete with their own IP if the super secret MMO project is indeed the Elder Scrolls MMO

On the bright side at least it's not like Half Life 3 or HL: Episode 3 (whatever they're going to call the next HL).

Nope, i'll be grateful for whatever they make. They don't HAVE to do anything.

DLC news may come this week, it was tweeted... there is also some parts of the DLC found in the latest patch... which had things like Crossbows, Vampire feeding animations, & the Snow Prince. I can understand why your like this though, console gamers are use to DLC coming very fast, but none of it is large as what BS usually makes.

I dont mind waiting for DLC since I'm not even half way through the game yet... But I was disapointed they didn't even bother to tell us that the kinect update was delayed.

Not troubled by the delay in the least, myself. It will be ready when it's ready.

Poor choice of words. Gratefulness would only apply if Skyrim had been free and it wasn't. Grateful is for children and dogs, not economic transactions.

I've already heard 3 rumors myself.

1. Snow Elf uprising (Falmer)
2. Alikr (Hammerfell)
3. Atmora (original continent the Nords came from into Skyrim)

If it was Atmora that's a lil pheasable.. the continent itself is twice as big as Tamriel so I don't see how they would pull that one off, lol. Hammerfell would be awesome but my vote would be High Rock. And I would take the Snow Elves either way thatd make for a great DLC. (possibly Dwemer involved?)

But this DLC better be HUGE and last a very long time if it's TAKING a very long time to make. That's my thing.. I don't want to wait MONTHS for a DLC that'll last not even a WEEK. I've been picking up other games, trying to play other stuff but I always come back to Skyrim. Thus why it's my #1 most played.

I just love the series, BGS, and anything they make.. just an impatient f4nb0y who wants more. Both FO3 and NV came out with DLC within reasonable time frames (except for OWB with NV because of Lolz). I guess I could just eventually spend 40$ and get NV and a 1600 MSP card and play the last 2.

But I have FO3 still (all DLC downloaded) and I find myself bored in it very quickly. Not having Sprint in any form in those games was a TERRIBLE idea.

Well there is a difference between rumors, and this stuff being found in an official patch... what I said is more likley than anything else that is rumored.

It'll be ready when its ready. I'm glad Bethesda seem to have learnt from Oblivion and aren't rushing out small inconsequential DLC asap like most other game developers do nowadays.

Yea, same here I hope they take their time & actually finish it before they release it. Sniper elite v2 comes out tommorow so that will help, ghost recon future soldier comes out on the 22nd. Yep I have my plate full. Im expecting news on DLC this week, but you know bethesda.

Right you are. I have the game I paid for. When DLC comes around I'll decide if I wish to spend any more money on Skyrim.

No, it's not, he's ungrateful, he purchased the game, he didn't pay for them to continue development of DLC, yet he demands more.

You'd prefer the EA way of doing things, i.e., first time you load the game you just bought, they try to sell you "add-ons", etc.?

I couldn't believe this the first time I went to play KOA.

But then, I've been away from the video gaming scene for awhile.

No, it's not, he's ungrateful, he purchased the game, he didn't pay for them to continue development of DLC, yet he demands more.

Bethesda specifically said they had a surprise for Skyrim fans this month, which at this point, looks like it was just Kinect.

Let's get real here: That announcement was purposefully made as a publicity stunt for Dishonored. They knew that announcement would have every Skyrim fan and gaming journalist watching their blog, and ta-da: now everybody knows about Dishonored. They basically blew the Kinect thing out of proportion just to give Dishonored publicity.

Dude has a right to be annoyed. If they promise an announcement, then he deserves one, whether he paid for it or not. When it turns out to be Kinect, I think it's reasonable that he's disappointed, considering only a third of the population can use Kinect.

The other thing that's getting people frustrated is simply, now we're to a point where the pressure is on. Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas both delivered DLCs about...every 2-4 months? New Vegas, iirc, was October release for the game, December/January release for Dead Money (X-box had december), Honest Hearts had May, Old World Blues had July and Lonesome Road had September.
Well now we're almost half a year after release. Two DLCs for FO3 or NV could've been released within this time. Not saying that means they need to hurry up; take their time if they feel they need to, but yeah, I AM saying pressure's on now. If the first DLC is disappointingly small or something, then yeah people will be ticked.
