Hearthfire what choices will you make?

Post » Wed Aug 29, 2012 12:33 pm

Name the things below you want to do with your house, and adoption.

What hold will your house be in?

What style of architecture will your house been (Dwarven, Whiterun, Solitude, Winterhold, Windhelm, Falkreath, Riften)?

Where exactly in the hold do you hope you can build it?

How many rooms, will it have and how big will it be?

Will you adopt?

How many kids?

Good questions - but I think you forgot a crucial one: 'What kind of bread will you bake, and how much?'

There are only three holds to build in.
It also looks like we can build only the Whiterun theme.

I will adopt as much Bretons as possible , if there will be Elves then a few Altmers too.

Are these all confirmed features?

What I mean is, are those housing styles you listed off confirmed, is it confirmed you can adopt more than 2 kids, confirmed you have the freedom to build more than a fixed number of rooms, etc etc?
I know the hold limitations one is confirmed, but that's it.

one would assume you could have more than two kids because the trailer depicted them at the "house".

Um, Two stories, Solitude style in whiterun hold. walled with a basemant.

Bad place I know with all the Dragons and bandits but eff it, I'm the Dovakiin

My first reaction was not to buy the dlc as I do not want to own or build a house not in a city.

I am now considering to buy it and build as real estate. With regards to adoption then I am unlikely to bother unless I can move the child into my Markarth house (my housecarl has gone to join the blades so there is a bed free). I think I'd rather have a female Baird living there though ;)

Just because you saw one option in the DLC, doesn't mean everyone has to build the same exact house in the same exact location. Bethesda isn't going to make a trailer showing the entire gameplay and options you have. I am hoping they do Elven and Beast races, but I don't think they will.

I am afraid the theme will stay ONLY Nordic.
Which will disappoint greatly.

Im not sure yet. I dont feel like I am ready to settle down just yet. Maybe Ill make myself a small Farmhouse in Whiterun Hold, or live as a reclusive mage somewhere in the wilderness.
Though I really hope I can make a Meadery.

Have they confirmed what holds they will be in. Based off the trailer I believe one will be near the mountain forests of Solitude.

I'm going to get The basic needs (armory, enchanting etc.) then maybe a garden, fish house, tower, and I'll put some rooms for the mini slaves also called kids. And a trophy room IF we can mount dragon heads.

Riften architecture overlooking the Sea Of Ghosts.... or atleast it WOULDVE BEEN!
Falkreath for me.
No kids. I hate them.
Greenhouse, Armory and Trophy station.
I'll ask Faendal if he wants to share a bunk bed. (By the Nine there better be bunk beds!!)

For those who are excited , it is unknown yet if there ARE any other building styles.
There are only three Holds where you can build.
I just know I will still buy it , it's perfect for me , I was one of the first who wanted a domestic DLC.

Falkreath, 2 stories (3 if I can), and I will buy all upgrades, and keep building until I hit the limit or it crashes. I am hoping I can build a solitude style home. If not I am fine with the Falkreath design.

As I really wanted to live in Falkreath or at least in Falkreath Hold, the choice of which house to create first is easy.

(Never been interested in house mods for some reason, plus I'm too lazy to create my own with the Creation Kit.)

I will probably make the house as big as it can get. My Imperial is rich and spoiled, so he won't settle for small!

I will adopt at least one child. If we're able to adopt more, I've no idea whether I will add more kids or not.

Definitely Hjaalmarch, my current farm is there. Arthmoor, if you read this, hope the Hearthfire house in Hjaalmarch won't collide with your own :lmao:
