How are you going to kill Ulysses?

It is definitely implied that something our character did before the game started caused Ulysses to want to track us. So it would be before your control. Saying that, an interview with Chris Avellone recently seems to imply that it isn't going to ruin most character backstories and that what the courier did to wrong Ulysses was an insignificant action for the courier.

Like Dean Domino if you are not an ass kisser and insult his ego he decided to off you. basically something similar to that im guessing.

Dean is apparently not the best at making decisions under pressure, given how well that particular one went. :gun: :dead:

I'm really hoping that the situation with Ulysses is not like that, since you had no idea you had pissed Dean off past the point of no return during the initial dialogue with him until it was too late.

If at all possible I will talk Ulysses down, but failing that he'll be getting a heavy weapon blast to the face.

I like that. It's why I want dialogue tags removed for the next game (as in saying the exact threshold of speech you'll need for a character). I like the NPCs in Dead Money in how basically, if you treat them well, they are going to treat you well too. I understand the concern of not knowing that you may have pissed them off, but I think it was pretty clear. If it wasn't clear enough, than in the future they can make it more clear, I think the concept worked very well in Dead Money.
I don't think the situation will necessarily be the same for Ulysses, it is very likely that it will end up with him wanting to kill you and you basically being able to fight back or talk him down.

Not enough information. If I do have to kill him, probably a .45 to the head.
He sounds crazy, but I'll reason with him first.

As long as he isn't a one dimensional character like Benny or Caesar, I want to let him live. If he's just evil for no reason, he'll have to go down.

Depends on what weapons he's packing.
If I can get in close without getting pounded too hard I'd like to use melee/unarmed and kick his teeth in properly.
If not I'll probably just use the all american/12.7mm silenced pistol combo.
