how to disable Shadows on the grass(1.5 performance decrease

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 4:19 am

I'm not trying to desperately defend untoggable grass shadowing. I'm rather trying to defend Bethesda in this. I think it's important to realize how rare it is nowadays that people on PC platform are getting something extra. They wanted Creation Kit, they got it. They wanted hi-res textures, they got it. They wanted grass shadows and better underwater, they got that too. This isn't that normal in today's gaming industry as far as I know.

AC took critics and suggestions very seriously, it improved gameplay very much.
I think something will be done to make it all right 4 all of us..

Granted those black spots on the ground don't really look much like shadows.

PC gamers didn't ask Beth for those things. the creation kit comes out no matter what. And we knew we'd get better textures and such via mods. Better under water via mods. All the updates they keep releasing could have been done by modders and those mods wouldn't be breaking the game like the Beth updates are. They're just crippling the game by forcing these updates no one asked them for.
