Its true that we as humans crave entertainment. Part of us likes the excitement of taking risks, wild women, spicy food, and unconventional events going on in our daily lives. One cannot live in a padded room unless they are hospitalized. I think their are certain aspects that seem more stress provoking than a sound that triggers a raise in heart rate. If anything games should come with an FDA warning. They are unhealthy to begin with. You aren't exorcizing your sitting in one place, possibly consuming a beverage of high sugar content. But this has to do more with what triggers the reaction. For me anything that startles the response fight or flight is only going to raise the blood pressure and lead to heart disease. Its sad but possibly other hobbies may need to be pursued or other types of games that aren't so sound and graphic enhanced where things jump out at you. I think one time my heart skipped a beat once when a sabre cat jumped out of nowhere and attacked me. So what I'm confused about is there a sound in the game or combination of sound and visual that stimulates a heart arrhythmia based on hypersensitivity or is it the type of panic where one is startled easily from an action that occurs in the game. Its all about triggers. The panic could easily be associated with social situations in real life, so then in a sense it has no impact of what is occurring visually as graphical violence, or things that startle you to cause fight or flight response, or if this is of a photosensitive nature that is a type of seizure.
