how to divorce (get rid off) Mjol the lioness

Post » Fri Jun 08, 2012 4:51 am

I married Mjol the lioness some time ago and I must say it was a nice marriage but now it got tired from her talks and ruining my sneaking so I like to divorce.

I tried to kill her but apparently she can't die?

Is there any other way to get rid off her?

all help is much appreciated..

thanks

Leave the woman at home where she can be in the kitchen making you homemade meals to take on your traveling trip.

problem is that she apparently can't die .... I did cut her up for about 3 minutes but even then she only gets to the grounds. and starts healing and gets up and starts attacking me.. when i go out and re enter she starts her normal behavior again ( it's nice to see you dear.. LOL

First, make sure there are no quests left which involve Mjoll

Open up the console and type "setessential 0001336B 0" (without the quotes)

Now you can dispatch... sorry, divorce her without any problems.

get her to follow you to throat of the world and use the push shout so that she can fall down the mountain, if she doesn't die than for sure i'm marrying her next.

Probably won't work... Essential is essential after all. You can't really get rid of her though. Locking her up in a cage won't do you any good becasue after some time she'll grow tired of waiting and return home. The best you can do is move her to a house you don't care about.

why is she so essential then? I retrieved her sword and I don't think she plays a role further in the game or am I wrong? Thought she would loose her "essential " status afterwards...

Cause Skyrim rarely removes the essential status on any NPC unless that NPC needs to die whereas before he or she did not.... That's the only reason, there are no further quests.

The damn empire, still haven't even grasped the notion of divorce and they think to rule over all of Tamriel.

There is something the Empire has along those lines http://www.imperial-library.info/content/2920-last-seed-book-8. But I don't know if that's divorce or simply marrying more then one person... Also no idea whether or not it's reserved for the Emperor or if it's possible for all people.

The thing that REALLY bugged me about Mojl, is her sidekick, who never seems to go away.

If you're just getting tired of her as a follower you don't have to divorce her. Just leave her at home and take a different follower. She can stay home and cook and clean for you and provide your "spousal comfort" bonuses and whatnot.

Is there some reason you just can't dismiss her as a follower? Sneak problem solved right?

God knows I get tires of Lydia saying she's sworn to carry my burdens.

Why should she be essential? I know that Lydia can die, she's done so a half dozen times so far

Heh heh! That's why I didn't marry her. At least Jordis sounds happy about it. Lydia only seems to sound happy when she's sitting in Breezeholm munching on sweetrolls!
