so how does skyrim look on pc? : V

there were many videos released, but i have based my expectation mostly on official gameplay release with comentary done by todd.

i dont know if theres anyone who actually received their pc version skyrim and managed to play. nonetheless im curious to which graphic setting on pc is equivalent to graphic level they've shown in official gameplay videos on xbox. anyone heard about this or any lucky guy who played skyrim at home and checked out graphic options?

Nobody can play the PC version due to it being a Steamworks title. It won't unlock till 12am EST Friday.

It's impossible to play the game on the PC before 11/11/11. It's locked on steam, regardless of if you have the disk or not.

The game unlocks in about 30 mins in NZ, so i guess we'll be seeing some screens in about an hour or so.

No it doesn't. It will unlock in NZ when it unlocks in Australia. So in 2 hours 25 mins.

Sure, we get some AA and AF and Ultra-high res, but the textures will be the same.

Really? Just taking FONV as an example, I found the differences surprising. Maxed out on my PC it looks like a work of art at times. On my PS3...it makes my eyes hurt - all those jaggies, pop-ups and svcky draw distances make a HUGE difference in how the gameworld unfolds before you.

I own an Xbox too, but I'd never compare it to a good PC.

I have a 260 core 216 and will be playing on the PC.

Oblivion was supposed to have dynamic soft shadows too.

I get the feeling that you guys expect it to be 100 times better than the consoles. Its not going to be.

We honestly don't know. Pete has said PC screens and footage is out there but he won't tell us which. Then on Twitter the other day he said there was PC footage in the first Trailer of gameplay, but that there is also Xbox 360 footage in it too.

Edit: Well with a GTX 260, I wouldn't be getting my hopes up either. You sure won't be sporting a huge difference from the Xbox with that card. It should still be better than the xbox though..

And the fact that you can't specifically tell the difference between the two tells me that they are going to be similar graphically. If it had higher resolution textures, extra lighting effects, better shadows, etc you could tell the difference between console and PC footage.

They have also said, they haven't put any footage out of it all maxed out. Need to find the exact quote.

Don't bother. I believe that they said it.They say a lot of things come release time. They're trying to sell you a product. Just look at what they claimed for Oblivion, its no different than what any other company does.

All of what they said about skyrim so far turned out to be true. I really don't think they're lying this time.
