hmm lets see morrowind lasted me about a year oblivion lasted about 2-3 years (played off and on for 5 years waiting for this one and still play it today.) so im guessing skyrim will be beatin in about a week or 2, then another 2 to 3 months finding stuff. after that il switch hard-core mode on and play for another 2-3 years as i wait for the next tes.

As long as the mod community can keep it interesting I'll probably keep playing it. RPG's are my thing.

Until the next TES release.

This.
And only this, could get me away from Skyrim.

Well, Oblivion has lasted me 5 years on and off and 1000s of hours of gameplay. Same for my wife and older kids. My youngest and my son still play Morrowind. So a long long time.

Out of interest, how long do you expect skyrim to last you?

I've taken my time with previous titles and plan to do the same, but I know some people will just rush the main quests.

I know it's difficult to say, but I'd say the same will last me between 1-2 months. It's definitely a game I'll be able to come back to in future though.

Several years...hopefully.

I'm still actively playing Oblivion and it's been what....5 years?

Elder Scrolls games are the best and I can never go away for long.

YEARS. Oh yes. First play-through/character will last at least 6+ months, though.

Until March 6th. ME3 will be the only game in existence after March 6th for me. :-)

For info, Skyrim has something called Radiant Story in the game code. It randomizes quests, whether or not NPCSs give you quests depending on your behavior toward them, and a lot more. Go to the Wiki and search for Radiant Story, it's awesome what they've done with the game.

That will add tremendously to the replay-ability of the game.

A year non stop, then with some breaks here and there mods will bring it back to life endlessly until TES6 is released.

4 or 5 years. There are a few games that will tear me away from it in 2012 albeit temporarily. Throw in mods and official DLC...

First playthrough without mods (except absolutely necessary ones) will probably last from a few weeks to a month. After that I'll get mods and the game will last for years. I'm still starting a new character in Oblivion or Morrowind pretty much yearly.

Morrowind lasted years while oblivion only lasted months.

Skyrim will hopefully last as long as morrowind.
