How Many Followers Have You Gotten Killed?

Post » Thu Jun 21, 2012 9:58 am

Oh J'zargo, I hardly knew ye. There he was kicking ass against the Forsworn at the Red Eagle Rebout one minute, and then when the battle was over I found him dead, face down off the side of a small cliff.

I was going to take Lydia on that particular adventure; glad I didn't.

J'zargo is the first follower I've had die but not resurrect. I figure it ads a "realistic" dimension to the game.

Do you resurrect your followers or reload to a previously saved game; or do you just let them stay dead? And how many have you allowed to stay dead---I mean for one particular run-through; not a total over 5 different ones.

I have killed off five of them with my own spells! A couple of them I reloaded and let them live a bit longer, but if they get in my way again, that's it! Mostly, I don't take a follower any more because of the friendly fire problem. I just conjure one up instead. But they sure help carry things!

After Lydia died on my first playthrough I've never used a companion again, therefore I've only got 1 killed.

My 2h heavy armor paladin just accidently one shotted Eola with a power attack (master). Was a bit irritated as she is decked out in full scaled armor, not improved much, but neither was my skyforge steel greatsword. She can just provide summons and ranged support now, to weak for battling close up.

Lydia was killed during a fight with a dragon and dragon priest.

Illia was killed during a fight with several dragur deathlords.

I just sent Annekke back to her husband before I got her killed too. It also felt a bit weird hanging out with someone elses wife.

Don't know who I'll grab next.....

My play style is to spam ice storm, so I've killed a bunch. Meeko, J'zargho, and that one argonian who has an IQ of -1000 are the only survivors.

I killed Lydia myself. I joined Stormcloaks and when I got the to the siege of Whiterun, we parted ways. I thought it was fair for her to defend her home.. We met on the battlefield. At least I gave her a quick death.. :violin:

The only ones I think I might reload would be the Housecarls. If you'd get a new one, then I wouldn't worry too much; but since you don't... If I had a male Housecarl I'd let him stay dead. But I haven't bought a house in a city that gave me one of those guys yet. I guess I'm a sixist pig.

Oh wait, I did reload Aela, to whom I was married the first time I played the game. I never took her an another adventure again.

Lydia, Iona and Jenessa by accident, all in different games. One sacrificed, and three signed to a good cause.

Oh yeah again.... I sacrificed Janessa too. But I felt justified because when I was in the army like 20 years ago I had this absolutely beautiful girl named Janessa break my heart. So I felt good about it.

None, I never take followers. If the options available, I'll always ask them to stay behind, go home or wait. Unless of course, the quest forces a follower on me... then it's a case of "goodbye stealthy gameplay"

I had J'Zargo for a little while until I let him go back to doing his own thing.

He would always rush in and attack when I was trying to be sneaky and kill enemies with my bow.

I haven't killed any followers yet.... Mainly because I prefer to adventure alone. However the other day a fellow bar patron decided he though he could kill me, well in the fray of battle I left one innocent dead on the ground but he was quickly joined by mg aggressor. Last knight while rescuing a hostage, some fellow stormcloak soldiers aided me in battle. Unfortanutly my blade's thrist for souls indiscriminitally hacked everyone in the way, thus leaving my fellow nords dismembered and beheaded :wallbash:

About 7 times before I decided it was more beneficial to not have a follower who got in the way of my fireballs!

I have never had a follower die except from friendly fire, and then I just cast a spell of reload.

I usually stop attacking when my companions get in front of me so I don't accidently kill them. I finally managed to kill one of my companions, Argis, with Ice Storm. But luckily, there's reload! Voila! He's alive.

Does the stray dog actually count? I mean, he's always magically reappearing....alive and all. Not like it's stray dog 1 or stray dog 2. It's just stray dog....
