How To Unlock Any Door

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 4:52 am

I don't know if I did this or not but here goes nothing.

It's a video I made about using Followers to Unlock basicly any door. What are your thoughts on this?

Note: There is some useless parts of it and you get to listen me freak out at one point.

~Edit~

Someone needs to try to see if this works on the "Whispering Door".. I would but I already done that quest.

I use Cicero now for it too cause Cicero likes to get very close to you.. Makes it easier to get him near the door.

So, basically, you get the follower to wait close to the door, then you get them to "follow" you again, then you bump them through the door? :P

Nice trick though, I heard that they can unlock Chests for you but I didn't know they could open doors as well.

I think they have to have picks and Lockpicking skill.

Then how on earth do I know whether they've got the Lockpicking skill or not? :P (btw, no mods, I'm ps3)

Well, there you go. Anything is possible as long as you've got a lockpick ^^

I didn't see "Lockpicking" for any of them so maybe they all can do it with picks like you theorized above. :o

Followers will HAVE to be told to picklock chests and Cell-Doors (Doors that enter to another cell). This is base on their skill. Some followers can only picklock Novice while others can picklock any lock up to Expert. There is NO follower that will picklock a Master Lock or Doors that requires keys. If you wish to get thru these, use this trick.

And yes, I've used this trick on the TG Vault Door. Made me laugh.

Derkeethus. I've made him badass as well..

I have 3 TVs in my room and that is the best TV I have. The best TV in the house is for the living room.

~Edit~

Oh here is another funny thing you can do. You get your follower to unlock that one gate in the Solitude Chapel and actually end up killing the 'Wolf Queen' without even starting the one quest where you gotta stop those mages from summoning her. Made me laugh but I recommon not doing this cause it'll mess up the quest.

Never tried it since I like solving puzzles and Claw keys are always in the dungeon some where.

It's empty basicly. You do know you get to go in there during the TG quests, right?

Yea, it is always empty. You can also explore Mzulft without joining the College, but I have no idea if this will break the quest or not. I simply tried it to see if it could be done.

I have noticed that if you close the key locked doors, they will eventually re-lock themselves.
