LoL who is stopping you, TES games do not follow the D&D rules so there is nothing stopping you from having your Paladin wear Light Armour. And you can always use Elys Uncapper mod to get your chars Light Armour up to the same level as Heavy Armour.

Hahaha Very True, I may stop leveling my Thief's Heavy Armor, just for a nice Glass set.

Maybe so, but I prefer the more rugged, volcanic look from Morrowind. We already have Elven Armor for elvish looks.

But to each their own, the retexture linked above does wonders to improve the armor's look, in my opinion.

I feel ya. I really prefer the current look, but like you said to each their own.

What's stopping me? My paladin doesn't wear flimsy weak armor. He's a walking tank, righteousness incarnate. From a game mechanics standpoint, nothing is keeping me from leveling his light armor. It's all about the Role playing, man.
