ISO: Awesome Glass Armor retexture. : V

Are there any out there? Not "Skimpy" versions... Just plain old good retextures. A few weeks back I came across a particular retexture that looked REALLy good.. But I've searched for about an hour on the Nexus and have not been able to find it.. Looked through at least 500 mods.

Weird.....i typed "Glass" into the search box at nexus and came up with two pages of Glass Armor Mods, including the 2 that steepledhat linked to.
What did you do that brought up over 500 results?

The particular texture I found a few weeks back was a high-res retex that changed the metal portions to a alluminum silver type color.. With the actual glass sections to either the default green or a few alternate textures.. It looked allot better than anything else I found for the armor set.

I tried to search for it, typed in "Glass", "Glass armor", and looked at the first 500 or so mods under the "Armor" section. So.. Yeah.. I think the author may have pulled it for whatever reason.

Hmm, you might be right, because I saw that armor just yesterday, and it's not the same as the other "morrowind glass armor", because
the pictures were entirely different.

That would not be it.. I remember that one of the advertised pictures was a character wearing the armor in whiterun (i think), but with a dragonprist mask on... So.. *Shrug*.

Same one as before. I think it's the white color version. I thought that I noticed the picture right before I read your post.

I didn't really remember what dragon priest masks looked like, so I just showed it.

I just noticed that there arent very many glass armor retextures on the Nexus.. I searched & didn't find anything that really wow'd me.. Ah well.. Maybe somebody knows which mod I'm referring to.. Or knows about a particular retex that's especially good. We'll see.

I have a feeling that we're thinking of the same mod, because none of the screenshots from the other mods match the mod screenshot I saw.
It stood out (to me) because the Glass and Metal were nicely balanced

Does that mean there are people who didn't like the look of glass armor and weapons? I'm surprised - I thought the look of glass items is now the best we have ever seen in TES games.

Those are quite nice. I still think the glass armor in MW was the best. Oblivion's was too bright, Skyrim's is too washed out and elvish.

too elvish? The designs come from the Altmer culture, so of course it's elven lol ; )

I couldn't agree more. I can't stop using it lol. Just looks too damn good on my Altmer

Maybe so, but I prefer the more rugged, volcanic look from Morrowind. We already have Elven Armor for elvish looks.

But to each their own, the retexture linked above does wonders to improve the armor's look, in my opinion.

I know the mod you're talking about, unfortunately I can't find it either.
It's possible the author made it private or simply deleted it.

Indeed. Morrowind glass armor is the best looking IMO.

Skyrim's version looks...more ornate I guess is the word. And I don't like the color at all.
