Am I just blind?

Seeing as this forum usually gets answers very quickly I figured id ask here.

Vampire related gear:

Okay so I see 3 types of vampire light armor, gloves, boots, and vampire 'clothes' (EDIT: Forgot to mention I know about the master vampire armor) Am I just not finding helmets, hats, heavy armor types, weapons, etc? or are they simply not in the game?

Vampires don't really use heavy armour and they don't want to cover up their beautiful faces
Also they don't need weapons (harkon's sword is the only vampire weapon you need)

They don't need weapons? Well maybe the npcs don't because their spells are actually good, but the player vamp needs weapons since your spells are useless. Also, I think they should have added heavy armor. Not everybody who becomes a vamp wears light armor (I wear heavy armor exclusively).

Bethesda really gave vampires the shaft in Dawnguard, which is strange considering how it's a dlc about vampires, and it was stated they would get an overhaul. Looks like more http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ne1fVhvL00.

I think I found a helmet once and some gauntlets, but no heavy armor as of yet.

I mean unique/new named weapons
Also vampires generally don't wear headgear and heavy armour looks a bit silly without headgear
Also vampires love pouncing around and running
They can't really do that in heavy armour

Vampire Lord spells are far from useless. Drain life is extremely good, mist form is bloody handy, summoning a gargoyle while in mist form is also handy, as is detect all and last but certainly not least vampiric grip is uber tasticly fun to grab and chuck enemies around with.

Most of the vampire lord powers are rephrased shouts turned into powers with new effects
But I like them too

I mean regular form for vampires. Their spells are useless. You have to transform if you want any decent spells.

I want to say yes. I can't remember for sure and would have to check my apparel chest to know for sure.

I can do anything in heavy armor that you can do in light armor. Sneaking? Muffle enchantment. Moving speed? Steed stone.

Tell that to my level 79 warrior with maxed ability is heavy armor. He has no disadvantages with movement.

So let me get this straight. Bethesda didn't add any heavy armor for the player in a game designed for the player because npc vamps don't use heavy armor?

That's why they die quicker. I don't use light armor since it's pretty much useless.

Yeah thats kinda true, not many powers for human forms. But the awesomeness of the lord form makes up for it in my book.

Uh yeah, like the forsworn dont have heavy armor. Its a faction specific type.

They just use vampiric drain to heal themselves quicker than they get harmed

Npc vamps don't have to, but the option should be available to the player if they want to. Vampires aren't always stealth, especially not Volkihar (which is what you are). Instead Bethesda treats every vampire like the ones from Oblivion. Volkihar vampires my ass. They're Cyrodiil vampires just being called Volkihar.

But you're a Volkihar vampire. They are not stealth vampires. They're get up in your face and kill you vampires. Sounds like heavy armor would've suited them. Read http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1392951-an-idea-of-how-vampires-and-werewolves-could-have-been-done/ for ideas on how it could (in my opinion should) be done.

What about the player then? You have to transform for any good spells. There goes light armor. Player vamp spells svck.
