And yes, I would pay for a DLC where a Viking with his personality existed.

His personality kind of svcks, but he would make for a pretty cool in-game character, yeah.

It was supposed to, but apparently Bethesda doesn't know the difference between Austria and Scandinavia. :sadvaultboy:

No, it wasn't supposed to. It was supposed to feature the Nords, a fictional race loosely based on Vikings/Scandinavians. This is not TES V: Sweden.

Ok but why would they say "let's make Sovngarde like Valhalla and have them do their funerals like Norse funerals, then we'll hire voice actors who sound Austrian and Romanian." Kinda random. :D

And no I'm not complaining about it. In the end, it's hysterical and actually quite charming. I am gonna poke fun at them for it though. :P

Indeed. There is no specific Skyrim accent. But it seems to favour something which is cross between vaguely Scandinavian, vaguely Dutch and vaguely South African...

The nord accent is whatever Bethesda thinks it is. If they want everyone to sound like Christopher Lambert, that's their prerogative.

Gotto respect a man who learned English solely through watching Southpark episodes and Tarantino movies.

From WTH did you get South African? There isn't even anything closely resembling an Afrikaans accent (a South African language with origins in Dutch).

Yeah, it's a bit like English humour (probably because a bunch of Vikings ended up in the north of England). I immediately assumed the guy in the video was being satirical.

I have a Swedish friend who's partner is a Scot and she's developed a weird Swedish-Glaswegian hybrid accent. That's what they should have used for the Nords!

You do realize that Sweden was one of the Norse countries that Vikings came from, right? Including:

Norway

Iceland

Greenland

Denmark

among others
